Older dad here - 52yo, with a 7yo and a 6yo ... For some reason, the usual "img" forum photo codes are not working for me today. Here's the link, anyway ..... http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a57/mdeayton/the%20kids/37474_408048120508_5501299_n_zps2ac1eb70.jpg

That butt has been built in the squat rack by the look of it. Great work!

Stationary bike is the best gym cardio machine for dodgy knees

I don't understand the question ....

Toast with a slice of cheese and turkey breast, chicken or ham takes me about 1 minute to make, and another minute to eat. Good rounded mix of protein, carbs and fat to kick start your day. Is 2 minutes too long for you?

I use a Jabra Clipper, which is a tiny Bluetooth receiver (rechargeable via USB) that you connect your headphones to. That way, your phone doesn't have to be worn on your body - so if you're working out in the gym the phone can be a few feet away from where you are, and it won't get in the way of your lifts. Then, you can…

Anytime you drink something with aspartame added, a kitten dies - so I've been led to believe by this message board.

Putting aside your scientific reply, which I can't really argue with, for me I've been able to lose body fat and increase cardiovascular efficiency from high intensity weight training coupled with hardly any "steady state cardio". It's been working well for me. YMMV.
-
It's just a matter of training at a high enough intensity for the entire session, minimising rest time between sets, and/or supersetting - two sets joined together involving different muscle groups - in effect, the second half of the set becomes your "rest" period for the first set. This keeps your heart rate up throughout…

Done correctly, weights is cardio.

^^^^ This nails it. Creatine is not a magic bullet for instant muscle size and strength gain, but it will allow you to squeeze out an extra rep or two per set, which will add to your results over time. Given creatine is cheap and has no real side effects, even if it only adds 5% to your performance in the gym it represents…

Does beer qualify, if I drink 20 cans and vomit them all up later in the night?

Why do you need to add stevia? Isn't fresh fruit sweet enough for you? With two cups of milk and one scoop of protein powder I'd usually add one banana and maybe half a cup of other fruits, so it's not too thick. If the milk is cold there's no real need to freeze the banana.
-
Other than bananas - blueberries, mango, strawberries, kiwi fruit, papaya all taste fantastic in a blender with protein powder. Mix and match them anyway you like, but don't be put off by the resultant colour - eg. banana + blueberry = battleship grey

And, if a Brit asks you if they can bum a *kitten*, don't be alarmed.

I have a bag of decent quality Whey Protein Isolate powder (90-93%) handy if I can't get enough protein from real food on any given day, and take creatine daily. Pre-workout, only if I'm feeling sh!te - a sugar free caffeine drink, such as Coke Zero or Pepsi Max (I'm not a coffee drinker)

The *kitten* are rooting for you.

Well done, mate. Jealous of your biceps genetics.

I bet they're either all jealous women, or men who find you attractive but realise that the better looking you get, the less chance they have.

My workout playlist is pretty diverse, but the ones I keep coming back to for heavy workouts are the likes of - Radio Birdman Deep Purple MC5 Led Zeppelin You Am I Uriah Heep (early) ZZ Top The Yardbirds Howling Wolf AC DC

If you like a bit of spice, beef rendang or vindaloo both go very well in a slow cooker.

Thanks - I found Empire Fitness via Google and thought it looked promising. This one just down the road from Empire looks ok too ... http://www.industryhealthclub.com.au/

Hang, clean & press - because it makes the gym chatterboxes keep their distance.

Just saying, I think you looked smokin' hot at 180

Chobani is kick *kitten*. Love it.

Not as present, but I did many years ago with great results. Lyle McDonald's book is a fab resource.
