Unjury makes a pretty good unflavored protein powder that you can add to your yogurt to up the protein. That should help some. This does get easier as the swelling goes down in your stomach and you can get more fluids/food in.

I am game. By the 4th of July I will be at goal weight. Current weight: 163 Goal weight: 150 Exercise goal: work out at least 15 minutes per day for 5 of 7 days per week. Work out will rotate between walking, weight lifting or yoga.

I had the VSG surgery in September of 2013. I have since lost 73 pounds. for me, the surgery itself could not have gone better. I was up and walking that same day. I definitely try to stay away from morning high fat/sugar combos or the same thing happens to me and I find myself eating all day to try to calm that urge to find more sugar / fat. Protein first thing in the morning helps me avoid that.

For me I find that if I eat a protein rich snack around 3 then I can make it to 6. but if I do need a little something, or dinner is going to be later, I grab mixed nuts or some a table spoon of PB2 and an couple of apple slices.

We have a type of tortilla chip in this part of Texas called Julio's. It has a chili lime (MSG) salt coating on it and it is FABULOUS. I used to be able to eat half the bag without blinking. I have worked hard to change habits over the last 7 months. but I am still afraid to go near them.
