Yeah, it works if you're under calorie goal. I eat like that. I prefer eating small and frequently, but a lot of "meals" are essentially snacks. Usually try for proteins and fiber at each meal, veggies, cheeses, seeds, nuts beans, oats, yogurt. A typical sitting for me is less than 2 cups of food, I could fit in my hands.…

I was near Clackamas Town Center at the time. I really didn't stay long. This happened a little over a month ago. I'm much closer to downtown PSU area now. At least Pacific Patrol bike security officers are stationed on lots of property, day and night out here. Meth and prostitution were pretty bad where I was staying…

No, I ended up running in to a Safeway and a dude citizens arrested him when he started assaulting people. I've seen some seriously bad stuff in outer southeast, though. I found a 24 hour fitness kind of near by and just did my workouts indoors until I moved to downtown Portland.

Too many tweakers out past felony flats. I tried running out in that area while I was staying down off 82nd and got chased by a homeless guy who was tripping balls. Maybe it's better away from 82nd ave. I didn't feel safe in Clackamas.

Cilantro chutney on rice or noodles. It's pretty great. http://www.vegrecipesofindia.com/coriander-chutney/

Every week. In the morning before I shower, but after I pee. Almost always on Wednesday, seem pretty consistent. It doesn't matter as long as you weigh in with somewhat regular variables. Like with any data, just keep it consistently logged and look for a trend.

I lost 50 pounds and people are only now starting to double take and "wait a minute- are you getting smaller?" Um. Yup. I will say it's not something I ever advertised I was doing because I consider my weight personal business. There was a study I read that mentions you will notice your weight loss first, followed by…

Not that there's anything wrong with female body building if that's what makes a girl happy, either. It takes a lot of dedication to look like that and I can respect that.

I also like how the hair gets progressively better. Like, BAM!

My boyfriend is a cyclist. He goes on grand trips for fun, just because, biking all over the state and touring with his buddies. He works a hard job lifting and sorting heavy cases of fresh produce all day. I lift and train for distance running. I guess I'll be biking soon, too, because you can't date an avid cyclist and…

No weight loss goals. Just staying alive with medical problems goals.

Yeah, but not all common interests with friends involves food. I keep relationship with my friends by opting for activities that are not food-centric... I mean, food is survival, yeah. It comes up sometimes. I set boundaries on discussing diet because I have medical reasons to keep my eating habits a certain way. I will be…

Jealousy is an awful thing. I think no friends > toxic friends. I'd try to talk out what the real issues are with your friends. Listen to them, and then explain how their behaviour is being received by you. Then, if they can't accept that your lifestyle is 1.) not a threat to how THEY live/indulge THEIR lives and 2.) not…

Under cardio as "Strength Training" it does.

Um. It's not like running on a treadmill is fake running. Why? Because it's indoors? Is indoor track running also fake because it's indoors? I grew up in Chicago and it wasn't safe to run in my neighborhood. I ran inside on a treadmill. I didn't crave being outside or care. I liked running. You don't get to determine how…

Bliss Cinnamon Chia Seed Peanut Butter with Touch of Honey and Sea Salt is so good. Stir it in oatmeal, add it to cookies, eat it on celery, dip apples in it. So, so good. Also homemade wok-fried peanut butter via Alton Brown (Good Eats). Delicious, economical. Worth the minimal effort for maximum yields. Edit: Also forgot…

Agreed. It's not yogurt, it's cheese. Why would you put fruit in it? Gross. I know some people do. I know some people put french dressing and pineapples on it for some reason, too. Not for me. I'm down with just a plain half cup of curds and whey and maybe some celery or something.
-
I guess, but it's not even an esteem thing. I'm asexual, so it just plain grosses me out.
-
I miss being invisible. Getting hit on unprovoked is pretty disgusting and wastes time and energy. Nobody randomly approached me about 40 pounds ago.
-
Health warrior chia seed bars are my new favorite snack. They won't do much if you're really hungry, though. If you're really hungry, steam and season a good portion of veggies or just eat a small meal.

Worked security for a year at a major brand shoe and sportswear company. Definitely used the track and available facilities to my advantage. I don't see why you wouldn't use something that's available to you if it's free and you want to do it. The cons are only that you're onsite for x amount of time extra, but it's not…

Support your local economy. You wouldn't even know what to get without the help you received. They are well worth the investment.

I ate like crap for the first couple days after moving in to my unfinished apartment. Now that my kitchen is ready, and I live so close to my gym, things should be easier. I did still manage to lose a pound somehow. I guess I didn't log moving boxes as exercise, though it probably helped on the days I went over limit.

Skillet ratatouille. Eggplant, zucchini, onion, seasoned tomato sauce, red bell pepper. You can add yellow squash or garlic, make with a spray of oil for lower calories or drizzle in olive oil for more flavor.

It doesn't work like that. Fat isn't a diabetes guarantee, and after a certain point, that "child" is a grown individual and responsible for determing their own habits, regardless of what they were taught growing up. There are many kids who pig out on freedom after being denied and restricted food growing up, and there are…
-
Wow, seriously. It's not literally poisoning their kids. At that age, their bodies are more resilient and honestly, kids on restrictive diets are more likely to have long-term problems or even psychological damage and control isses. A lot of kids whose parents go overboard with the health/weight thing end up accidentally…

Have you researched food addiction and how to cope?
-
I actually refer to Men's Health. They know what's up in the food department.

Weekly for me. Some days I go over, some I'm way under. It balances out. Generally make a rule to not go hungry and not deprive myself. Your body doesn't literally run on a 24-hour*reset* cycle. It's just convenient for humans to measure and keep things in check.

Honestly, at 225, you aren't mega overweight. Go troll the success forums. People have journeyed to onederland from much farther than your starting point. Work on small steps at a time. You'll get there. It won't always be easy, but stranger things have come true. You know it's possible, and if you take care of yourself,…
