Whenever I have an indian curry, I always retain water and see a gain on the scale due to the sodium. Don't worry about it. There will be weeks where you will gain and weeks where you will lose. As long as the overall trend is downward, don't stress yourself out.

I gained the first three weeks of starting my weight loss journey. Throughout the months I've had weeks where I have gained and weeks where I have lost. You cannot just focus on the scale, it will drive you crazy. Give it more time before you become concerned.

I'd recommend Chicken Tikka or a similar dish that is cooked in the tandoori oven versus anything in a sauce. Avoid the naan bread and rice and you will be fine! Also get a veggie side that isn't in a creamy sauce as well. Or you can eat what you want within sensible portions and just get back into your routine tomorrow.…

I also have a Polar FT7 which I got off of Amazon and love it. As SLLRunner said, it really does take two seconds to enter the calories manually into MyFitnessPal. Usually the second I am done with my workout I pick up my phone, enter in the time I worked out and the calories the monitor says I burned, and voila! All done.
