Hi! I'm Bri! I've been feeling super motivated so far and have been staying on track pretty well; however, cold weather makes me want to stay in doors and not do ANYTHING but eat soup and carbs ;) I work 2 jobs and am going back to school for my phd so any motivation to keep me going is appreciated! Can't wait to start…

I have the same problem! I love comfort food because its cold and nothing sounds better than grilled cheese and soup! I usually save my calories and have it earlier in the day to sustain me longer. I'll also do broth based soups rather than cream! Still satisfying. ALWAYS push myself to go and do some HIIT cardio too!

I'm with ya! I feel like I have to start over every weekend!

lol maybe this topic has lost momentum... but..... feel free to add me as a friend! I am addicted to MFP and always try to leave encouraging posts... unless you're a jerk then i'll just unfriend you ;)

Hey! We have the same stats (5'7, 150)! I was scared too at first with the higher calorie intake. But after doing a lot of research (I'm a PhD student.... research is my life) I realized with exercise such as lifting weights and high intensity intervals training, etc. your body IS NOT MADE TO WORK ON 1200 CALS!!!! It just…

Min is really insane! 3/4 c. almond milk 1/4 c. water 3/4 c. frozen organic strawberries 1sp. macha powder 1sp. L-glutamine 1tbs. chia seeds 2 scoops warrior extreme protein powder (vanilla) I usually have this for breakfast right after my gym workout!

Congrats! Keep up the hard/great work :)

I love Vega. It's a plant based protein you can find at Sprouts or online. Fitmiss has a really good protein as well!

Looks like you have a boyfriend... get him to massage your legs! ;) I just had a shin splint problem too. I needed to get new shoes ... may be a nice excuse to buy some?

Depends on the meal! Breakfast, Snacks and Lunch Pre-log... depending on what I am having for dinner then I adjust accordingly~

Not necessarily true! My husband works for Disney and we're both doing Paleo. We're both able to eat VERY healthy when we are there. Try Bengal BBQ if you want! Otherwise.... rock out! and enjoy it! ;)

Right now I started this new program called bodyfx... it's a new company based out of San Diego that incorporates all natural HEALTHY ingredients into their products (e.g., no soy! yay!) I just started this about a week ago because I realized I wasn't eating enough carbs before and after my weight lifting workouts. I'm not…

I have a french bulldog and she is THE BEST dog we've ever had. Such a great personality. And great with kids. I take her in with me to do speech therapy sometimes and the kids absolutely adore her! She's on my instagram if you want to check out a few of her photos @brifizzle

Hey! I'm 27.... I've learned to get over the number on the scale and am now focusing more on my body fat %. I'm working out regularly lifting weights and doing SOME cardio ;) I've always battled my weight so I totally feel you girl! Feel free to add me (anyone) !

I love this thread...

Feel free to add me (anyone)! I'm usually a creature of habit... when I find something that works I stick with it until I start jagging on the food. So far so good :) Almonds are great! and also hard boiled eggs (If you can stand them ! haha)

Cheat meals are really important especially if you are lifting. However, I do not do an entire cheat DAY, rather a cheat meal that is early in the day and very well planned out. Feel free to add me if you have any questions :) http://www.precisionnutrition.com/all-about-carb-cycling

This is a great rec! Also look into cut and jacked... I hate to say it, but reducing some things out of your diet is probably a good idea. Everything in moderation right? Feel free to add me! Good luck!

Ah... I hate that! Try not to focus on the number though! I think as females we are trained to look at that number. I gained 5lbs but lost around 6% body fat and 16 inches over all. I look skinnier but 'technically' weigh less. Are you working out? Feel free to add meeeee ;)

I am doing something along these lines as well. [/quote] Well you look great! I'm trying this new supplement program now, so my carbs out now shot bc of the post workout drink and my shake meal replacement. :(

What I tried and what really worked for me (Before I started my new regime) was carb cycling. I would go through low carb days (typically 1-2 days in a row) then cycle to moderate carb intake back to low and have a cheat MEAL (NOT DAY) with high carb intake. This would typically include pizza or whatever else I was craving…
