Are those chex mix in the nuggets?

Here in France, not every item in the grocery store has nutritional information on the label. It can be hit or miss, particularly with meats and deli items. Quite frustrating. And often scanning the label into MFP results in item not found. And yes, everything is measured in terms of 100 gram servings. I imagine that Spain…

What I ended up doing is, after transferring the salad to individual one cup servings, I measured out how much liquid dressing was left over. It was approximately 1/2 so I reduced the calories correspondingly. Instead of 5 servings, I only ended up with 4 one cup servings coming in at 187 calories. Not a real big…

Every time I take a fish oil capsule, my scalp and arms itch. No such problems with the plant based omega 3s. I am going to ask my doctor to order blood tests to see if I has developed a sensitivity to fish and shellfish. This started a few months ago.

Thanks for that info. I never knew that
-
Yes, that is about the amount I take. I like the blend that I am taking now due to it's variety of different plant based oils. Tastes fairly bad, but I put it on salads instead of dressings.

I take Vega Antioxidant Omega Oil Blend which is a blend of organic, cold-pressed, and unrefined hemp, flax, pumpkin seed and coconut oil. I also take an additional Flax capsule and Kirkland's Wild Alaskan Fish Oil capsule. On my salads I add either a 1/2 teaspoon of walnut or avocado oil. It adds up.

Good on you. Great work and great results. Keep it up

Swanson Chicken Nibbles. OMG, I loved those.

Sunshine Golden Raisin Biscuit. I loved them growing up. Alas, extinct since 1996

Thanks, that is what I thought. A mangosteen is a tropical fruit and absolutely delicious. You can often find them in specialty Asian groceries, but a bit pricey though.

Looks great. I wish I was talented enough to make something like this. Or really anything for that matter. Just not artistic enough. For my snaking urges I just munch on hard boiled egg whites or celery sticks. Not a lot of fun in that at all.

Interesting. I have had a similar problem and tried the pills for stomach motility that my doctor prescribed. They did not work. I don't know if you have the constipation IBS or the diarrhea IBS, but my pharmacist recommended a sachet of Lactulose once a day for a few days. That seemed to help me greatly in relieving the…

Thanks everyone. I'm having a cardiac catheterization done tomorrow. 100% positive that the chest pain is gastric related, but the doctors are being a bit cautious. I've had this procedure before, so not concerned in the least. The 1,500 calorie was given to me by the VA dietician as I was bordering on obese. I see her…

I agree with you, under normal circumstances. But I have been in intense pain for 2 weeks now, grossly bloated, constipated and with horrible non stop stomach pain. Worst flare up I have ever had. I do think it is best to give my intestines a rest while they heal. My GI doctor knows me well, so I will have to trust him.…

I think his reasoning is that he wants to give my digestive track some time to heal itself. Therefore no strong laxatives and a low residue diet for a few weeks. I have never heard of lactulose. Is it the same or similar to Movicol?

Thanks so very much. I will check it out. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

Yes, Skinny Taste is an excellent site, but I was looking for some real recipes that my MFP friends have actually made, tasted, and highly recommend as being close to the real deal.

Thanks, I guess I should put on my reading glasses more often. I feel so silly for not seeing that.

Thanks everyone. I will used the raw calorie counts.
-
No I don't use any oil, but I am confused. The USDA website clearly stated Microwaved, cooked in skin. That would imply their calculations are based on the cooked product and not the raw. They have other entries that clearly say raw with lower calorie counts. For example the same 100 grams for raw indicates only 69…

When things are a bit tight for me, I make big pots of homemade soup. Lots of veggies, mushrooms, etc. I make them thick like a stew. Warm and satisfying, cheap and filling. Just about any veggie will do, plus a bullion cube or two, and there you go. Throw in rice of noodles too if you want.

Thanks for the validation. It does taste good, doesn't it? And for those of us who do watch calories, it is a delightful substitute. And you are right, The texture is pretty close.

Can't be my gall bladder. That was taken out years ago. I can't imagine a diet allergy, but I will have to review my diary to see if there is something that might be a potential culprit. I am sure it is gas, because on the rare occasion when I can produce a burp or pass wind, relief is almost immediate.
