lol it's not a binge if you know how many calories it was :P

I'm not being a smart *kitten* here, but eating more fruit and vegetables seems like the most obvious answer, no? Juice is fine but it's so much work to clean the machine after *every* juice! Plus eating is fun and being able to chew and swallow all that extra food seems like a win, right?

My friend had this done last year and he's seen really good progress. I personally don't advocate surgery unless you: * are extremely obese, * are suffering life threatening issues * are unlikely to turn your habits around before those health issues kill you With the sleeve I think the lap band is a better option only…

Why is anything, really ...

Orange, carrot and ginger!

Both look good to me!

Only 18 months?! Nice work!

Yeah even if you started a more sensible eating plan you might still need to have extra treatment. It may not even be related to your diet. You just won't know until you see your doctor. Take this seriously!

I used to smoke years ago and at that time I was trying to lose weight and I was exercising (although not as intensely as now). You can and will quit smoking but just cut yourself some slack with it. It took me many tries to quit and I even took it back up after years of not smoking in 2008. I think I'm done with it now.…

I've been there and I'm sure I'll be there again. I'm assuming you've figured out what you need to do and all that's missing is the motivation and 'will power' to do it. My best advice is to think this sentence whenever you can: "What's the right thing to do RIGHT NOW". There is no future or past, there is only right now.…

+1 If you're having trouble with knees or any other joint while you're starting out then it's either your form or you need to get the issue looked at. For me getting sole orthodics solved my knee and shin splint issues.

It's a factor but how much of a factor I'm not sure is quite known. There are many overweight people that have no problems conceiving and there are many normal-weight people that have issues. If you're overweight then losing weight is in your best interest anyway. You and your partner should get your primary fertility…

What's the calorie count of the vegetables and the sauce? Will the calories of the meal put you over your daily goal? Are you diabetic or allergic to any of the ingredients? What's YOUR definition of 'healthy'?

1 litre? Is that it? LOL I drink litres of the crap daily and I still lose weight. I don't recommend drinking that much of any liquid other than water, though.

Sometimes people don't know how to act in some social situations. Just chalk it up to well intended but badly executed sentiment.

Treadmills in general: I think running outside is the better choice in terms of both cost and training effectiveness BUT I understand that it would be hard to get out for a run if you have to watch your children or if it's too cold/wet to run outside (BTW running in the summer rain is wonderful, running in winter rain is…

I'm a meat eater but I do really enjoy 'real' vegetarian meals. When the focus is on using non animal ingredients there seems to be more creativity in the recipe. Meat gives a meal a few pegs on the ladder so if you can't use it you need to think outside the box to make it delicious. Tibetan Kitchen here in Brisbane has…

I do cardio and lifting on different days. Though my lifting programme is only 3 times a week so it works. When I used to do cardio and lifting on the same day I'd do cardio in the morning and weights at night. I couldn't hack being in the gym for cardio and lifting in the same session. It would just be too long!

Making the choice to change is the hardest part so well done!

When I can't measure I try to stay away from pasta, bread, rice, butter etc because I have a hard time estimating those things. I try not to drink my calories either. Not because it's particularly bad but because it's too easy to take in a lot of calories when it's in a drink.

I've been thinking about this lately and I think measuring raw is more accurate than measuring cooked. The reason I say that is that the more you cook the meat the more water evaporates from it. How much water left it during cooking or reheating? Who knows? If it's already cooked then it's better to weigh it and enter it…

You are petite to begin with so you'll need less calories than most of the population. Also, the smaller you are the less weight per week you should try to lose. A 7 foot man with 400 lbs is going to lose a lot per week compared to a 5 foot lady that's near her goal weight, as an example. Go with leebesstoad's advice.…

My uncle from out of town says "You've gained weight" whenever he sees me. I respond "You've gotten so old!" It's all in good fun. Although if someone I wasn't as familiar with said I was overweight I'd just act shocked. They're the one that's breaking the social rules, not me.

Most food from restaurants is junk food anyway. A Subway sub is just a giant burger, really. I'm in the IIFYM camp. I should pay attention to things like trans fats but this whole 'toxic' movement is getting out of hand. Just relax. Stay within your macros (or just calories if you don't want to track macros) and eat what's…

Watch your calories and exercise a little. Leave the quackery on the shelf.

+1 for orthotics. The podiatrist will be able to measure how much your feet pronate and make inserts for your running shoes to compensate for it.

I don't believe in ghosts but I'm afraid of them. That just means my emotions overrun my logic when I'm scared.
