  • I did an instant pot of lentils this morning. I didn't do them for the protein I needed to up my fiber. I ate them with 2 eggs, roasted broccoli and carrots. I had 25g of protein and 13 grams of fiber for brunch. The lentils also upped my potassium.

  • What I have found is that part (a significant part) is believing in your capabilities to do this. Figure out what you want your life to look like and then fight for it. That is not to say that you won't have your moments of self doubt but don't let those moments define who you are and what you can become.

  • I think so...they go well with peanut butter. They also help with potassium though they are not as high as potatoes. Unless you have a medical reason to cut back on "naturally occurring sugars" I would say peel that banana and enjoy it.

  • How much are you wanting to lose? I think 5lbs a month is a good rate of loss. You should be proud of yourself. I think sometimes the difficulty in losing weight is that we are expecting too much of ourselves. At 5lbs a month that is 60lbs in a year...slightly over 1lb a week.

  • The only thing that I am picky about is whether it tastes good to me. Other than that I will try about anything. Well there is cottage cheese...the texture is unpleasant to me. Then there is liver...it is all about the smell.

  • This is why I no longer accept friend requests...I am just horrible at being a friend on this site. I also found the feed annoying when everyone was congratulating each other on being way below their calorie goal or making excuses as to why they couldn't lose or they gained weight.
