  • Try it on popcorn instead of butter. Soooooooooooo much better than butter! YUM!
  • Insanity was by far the most effective for me. I dropped 25 lbs in 2 months after having my son. I do Les Mills BodyPump at the gym twice a week and it is fantastic too!
  • I am a SAHM of 2 kids, both over 9lbs and born by csection. Pretty new to this site and loving it thus far. I do my best to eat about 90-95% clean and am completely addicted to exercise. Not sure anything is going to get rid of my csection tummy though! :/ Feel free to add me. :)
  • Welcome. I am pretty new myself to the site and I love it so far. I am addicted to exercise. Feel free to add me. :)

  • I haven't done this, but I think it is a great idea! I honestly can't figure out how I gained weight besides starting a prescription (gained 20 lbs in 2 months after starting). I wonder if I was eating much more than I thought, too....
  • I started running 3 weeks ago to train for a 4k on Labor Day - so I appreciate the advice on this thread. What really worked for me in this time has been HIIT training. Switching between walking/jogging for a couple minutes, then giving it all I got for as long as I can - and keep alternating. I do this about 3 times a…
  • I'm low carb (but new to MFP). Feel free to check out my diary and add me as a friend. :) I aim for less than 50 net carbs (carbs minus fiber).
  • Hi, there. I am older than you, but I was also married very young and I am a SAHM. The key to motivation is doing it even if you don't feel like it! As the time goes on, you will hate when you miss your workouts! I am an entirely different person (not in a good way) If I don't get my workout in! For me, I had to join a gym…
  • Mine is public - but feel free to add me if you want. :)
  • I do both. Clean eating and calorie counting. You can lose weight eating nothing but processed food if you don't go over your calories, however, eating a good balance of veggies, fruits, protein, and healthy fats are really what your body needs to operate at its peak. I have a "cheat" every once in while, but I try to eat…
  • I think you need to add some more healthy fat into your diet -olive or coconut oil, butter, nuts, etc. (use these to increase your calories a little). I also agree with the weight training. I think that is really what makes the biggest difference in your appearance.
  • This sounds soooo good!
  • Chicken Waldorf Salad ( 1/2 bell pepper, 1 celery stalk, 1/2 apple, 2 oz chicken, 1 tbsp. mayo) - One of my faves and only 174 calories!
  • Feel free to add me!
  • Welcome! I am pretty new to this site as well. Feel free to add me, :)
  • Completely agree!!!!
  • Started running at the beginning of August to train for a 4k. I can now complete my 1st mile in under 9 minutes. 3 miles is about 32 total. Working on HIIT to build my endurance to speed up the last 2 miles!
  • I plan about 2 hours at the gym 6 days a week. Most of this is cardio, but I do about 3-4 hours of lifting. I take 1 day a week off completely...and it is really hard to not go to the gym.
  • I have one rest day per week and I have to force myself not to go to the gym that day! I do cardio 6 days a week and I lift 3 days (so on my lifting rest days, I still do cardio).
  • I would add in some green leafy veggies (you can eat A LOT for only a few calories). Also - I would say you need more healthy fats. Olive or coconut oil, butter, nuts, etc. This will help keep you much more satisfied.
  • I am addicted to going to the gym. I go 6 days a week and have to force myself to take an off day! I love the classes - there is something about working out with other people that makes you push yourself harder. I go much longer than I would have if I was doing the same thing at home. My gym is $24.99 but most gyms in my…
  • I'm new too and also a Mom! Sent a friend request if you are interested.
  • There is a creepy guy at my gym. He moves around on different equipment, but does not work out. He just sits there are stares at women. There have been a ton of complaints about him, but he has never done anything wrong so they can't just kick him out. Now, I think he is super creepy - but it is not me I'm worried about.…
  • Me vs. chocolate. Chocolate ALWAYS wins.
  • Have you tried probiotics? Also - if you get rashes as a symptom, please try calendula cream. Calendula cream was the only cream that completely eliminated my rashes from candida.
  • Hi! I have had issues with hypoglycemia in the past. My issues seem to come an hour or so after eating a lot of carbs. That is when I just crave more carbs and it is a vicious cycle! I am new here and trying to do the low carb thing. I will be eating a lot of non-starchy veggies, but that Is about the extent of the carbs.…
