Yes it does have sugar but it also has lots of protein. If you are looking to reduce the sugar then get the plain and maybe add some frozen blueberries to it. I personally don't see a problem with it. I eat 1 Chobani yogurt on each day I work out and I haven't had a problem losing weight. As long as you don't go over on…

Yes, its very important to eat after you work out. You can make a protein shake which takes about 2 minutes to drink. I make one and drink it in the car. My protein shake is 1 scoop of whey protein, cup of almond milk, and 1/4 cup of rolled oats. You can also put some peanut butter on a piece of whole grain bread and also…

I don't know the answer to your question but I gained about 50 pounds while I was on it! My metabolism has never been the same since. There are plenty of other options out there and I wish I would have done something different.

Your medical doctor put you on this?? Why did they put you on this diet?
-
I make sure I have a proper ratio since you do need carbs for energy. I have some pretty intense workouts and if I cut back my carbs I would not make it through them. Carbs are in fruits, veggies, and whole grains. These all have essential nutrients that are good for our body....no need to restrict them. I have lost weight…

Thanks for the recipe!! I have been meaning to make something like this for a while and haven't. Sounds yummy!

I have problems with cellulite also and I honestly get pretty down about it. Building muscle helps, but nutrition is key. I don't think it every truly goes away and there is no cure, but you can certainly make it look better. Keep building muscle and eat clean as much as possible and it should start to look better. Good…

Yes it is water retention, I don't even weigh myself during this time. I gain about 5 to 6 pounds sometimes and feel awful for about a week. Fun stuff!! Don't weigh yourself til you're done and everything will go back to normal. :)
-
I sure do, and sometimes I am left with only 1 calorie. I do pretty intense training at the gym so I need that fuel, without it I wouldn't have half the energy I do. I lose consistently also. The only time I haven't was when my diet was poor, but other then that, I lose about a pound a week.

I would say yes, it is the only accurate way to calculate calories during exercise. I am burning more (almost 100 cals more) then what the machines at the gym are saying. I'm sure you would love to know that!! I have a Garmin forerunner which is kind of bulky but the Polar brand isn't as bulky. Both have excellent reviews.…

The only way to know how many calories you are actually burning is by wearing an HRM. I would strongly suggest getting one. I have one and I love it! MFP is just giving an estimate and 1000 cals sounds like a lot to me as well. Who knows though? That would be awesome to burn that much doing something you love to do. :)
-
What time of day are you weighing yourself? Different times or the same?
-
I agree with everyone. Get a HRM with a chest strap and you will be good to go. I just enter my own exercise and put in the calories that my HRM said I burned. I recommend Polar or Garmin HRM's. Both get great reviews on Amazon and anywhere you search on the internet.

I drink tons of water!! It flushes out all the sodium which can lead to water weight. I would definitely get an HRM. Its the only way to know exactly how many calories you are burning. The machines at the gym are way off and anything else you do is just guessing. I would suggest a Polar hrm or a Garmin forerunner. I have…

Forgot something! Weigh yourself in the morning after you use the restroom. Your weight will always be 2 to 3 pounds more in the evening.....sometimes more.

I can't see your food diary so I'm not sure what you're eating and how many calories you are taking in. First of all, diet is more important then exercise. If you eat unhealthy food consistently and also work out, then chances are the scale won't move. Its all about consistency. You have to be consistent with staying under…

Save your pennies! :) This is something that you can't go to cheap on. You must must get one with the chest strap. I did tons of research and the best ones are Polar and Garmin forerunner. I have a garmin forerunner and its very accurate. Good luck!

I have a similar problem and it could be that you burn more while your body is at rest then you think it does. Try upping your calories slowly and see if that helps. If you're gaining then back it down. I am trying this and seem to be a little better but its still a work in progress. :)

Water for Elephants, Eat Pray Love, anything by Nicholas Sparks, Something Borrowed. There are so many!! :)

From my experience with water resistant watches I wouldn't recommend swimming with it. They just don't work very well and I have had some get ruined because of it. There might be some that do but I think they are very expensive. I would just guess and maybe stop every once in a while and check your pulse. You don't want to…

Also, eat back your exercise calories if you aren't already. :)

I am in a plateau also and after looking at my food diary I can see why. I went on vacation and to a wedding, etc. etc. I must have completely underestimated calories. Make sure log everything that you eat and drink.......and that means every...single...thing. I would up the intensity of your workouts and eat as clean as…

I'm guessing you are a vegetarian? Just wondering since I didn't see any meat on the pages I looked at. :)

Forgot to say that the diet is most important, about 80% is what you eat. You can work out til you pass out but if you eat like crap then the body fat percent will stay the same. :)
-
I reduced mine from 22 to 18% in about 2 months. I am consistent with exercise and strength training and eat mainly unprocessed foods. Its very difficult to do this 100% of the time with the diet (i vacationed for 5 days recently and ate one restaurant meal a day). Eat lots of veggies, fish, whole grains, fruit. You also…

I have a Garmin forerunner and I love it. Make sure any one you get has a chest strap because the plain watches aren't accurate. I've heard that the Polar HRM's are great also. You can find these all on Amazon.com. Expect to pay up around 100 dollars or more. Its worth it to me so I know how many calories I am burning. The…

I agree with the above post. New rules of lifting for women is very good! It also has a nutrition section which is the most important. I vary my workouts daily and try different cardio machines or walking/running outside. There are so many things you can do. Good luck! :)

Always weigh in the morning.....after you go to the bathroom. My weight is sometimes 2 to 3 pounds heavier in the evening.
-
For some people it takes a while to see results. Think of it this way.....it didn't take 2 weeks to put on the weight, then no one should expect the weight to come off in 2 weeks. Also, your weight can fluctuate throughout the day, up to 4 pounds of more at at time. Always weigh in the morning after you went to the…

Most of my sugar comes from fruit and veggies....minus any easter candy I have eaten. :) This has been going on for 6 months or so and not just during my easter candy phase. I think cutting out fruit and veggies would not be a good thing.
