11/2 cup of soda has about 38-40 grams of sugar. If a teaspoon is 4.2 grams then that means you have about 9 teaspoons in a cup and half of soda. go to the cupboard get a bowl and measure on 9 tsps. to see how much sugar is in that glass of pop. Worse yet people with long term consumption of soda/ THE ACID IN MOST POPULAR…

I don`t by into these nutrition bars, better to have a fresh banana , apples, peach orange or other fresh fruits plus a handful of almonds in your paper bag. Just read the label look at the ingredients the additives the fillers in those prepackaged products. The Big Food Manufacturers are in the business of making a profit…

I agree , planning is important. It is thinking out your weekly meal time, Also never shop when you are hungry. Shop the outside perimeter aisles and stay as far away from the center aisles as you can. That is where the chips, tortillas, sodas, cookies , pops , granola and all other bars, candy included and all prepackaged…

P.S. my favorite item is tzatziki sauce, Greek style with lemon garlic and dill. You can do it with low fat yogurt or low fat sour cream or just buy from the store It is really tasty on top of wild/brown rice, beefs up the flavor and makes a nice dressing or dip for fresh veggies.

Yes , I forgot about rice, look for wild rice or mix wild and brown together, I buy in bulk from the bins and store. Food I make and freeze. I am a lasgana lover and will make it with lean beef, add spinach on top for one layer , cut up lots of tomatoes and blend [fresh crushed tomtos for sauce] add small can tomatoe paste…

Switch to rolled oats the 15 minute variety ,…

one of the best sources is home cooked rolled oats or steel cut oats, High in fibre and nutrients, keeps you full and no sugar unlike the prepackaged brans, corns and wheats sold on every supermarket shelf that if you read the labels closely most have 4 tsps. of sugar added per small serving among the other additives.
