The cereal that got me through college is Grapenuts. It tasted just OK so I didn't overeat, it's hard to chew, and it's filling! :) Carrots are great for you and cheap!

Yes I do! I like my body now that I'm 46 more than when I was in my 20s and 30s. The human body is a miracle with great capacity for change.

I usually eat oatmeal and a little protein, like a piece of deli meat, before Bootcamp. I need the fuel. Also, Bootcamp is easier when I drink a little caffeine beforehand.

I'm just addicted to the instagram iphone app! It was a 1 day thing for a MFP friend who asked about my eating. Do you find it hard to tell what someone is eating by a written log? It was an eye opener! I really didn't know I ate all morning long.

Love the large curd cottage cheese. It's not low fat so it's more filling, but then I eat less of it because it's more satisfying. :smile:

I've been eating a small dip cone from McDonalds in place of dinner. Small treats are OK as long as you get your protein and veggies in during the day.

It's great that you are exercising. You got this part right! Food is just a series of habitual decisions. You just need to identify your bad food habits and make changes. Everyone here has had to change their eating and would love to offer you suggestions and tips. You're worth the effort!

I was stalled at week 2 of C25K due to knee pain. Then I got fitted at the Running Company, learned which stretches work for me, and started doing limestone trails, not pavement. It's perfect now! I got Saucony Pro Guide 4.

One trick for not clearing your plate is to eat with chop sticks! You eat more slowly and everything falls off before you get it to your mouth.

I used to drink two 2 liter bottles of Diet Pepsi a day for like 15 years. The regular wasn't strong enough, so I drank lime and cherry flavored DP. Just like you, I got sick last spring ( flu - high fever, sore throat ) and pop tasted horrible. I quit pop cold turkey. Find a new source of caffeine and you will be fine.…

My trainer says you should eat 30 to 60 minutes after exercising and the protein should come from food. I eat a few pieces of high quality lunch meat like ham, turkey or salami with some veggies. Sometimes I eat string cheese.
