  • Welcome! It's good to set goals - I'm doing my first 5K in May for Breast Cancer. You'll love the support and encouragement from MFP. Feel free to friend me.
  • Congrats on making it to Onederland! I just made it to the 240's this morning and I celebrated with a happy dance! Dance away into the Onderland!
  • Haven't been posting...lost the thread! Current weight 249
  • Don't give up! Keep tracking all of your calories and your exercises. I've plateaued for about a month now - but I know I've built muscle from exercising and lost inches even though the scale doesn't show a difference. Friend me if you'd like!
  • Been stuck on a plateau for 3-4 weeks as well. Just now starting to see a slight dip in the scale numbers. I have noticed a loss in inches though. I know muscle weighs more than fat and I am building muscle, but I wish there was a place that showed that you lost X amount of weight and gained X amount of muscle - sure would…

  • Thinking about giving up my scale! Giving up office gossip and picking up a small group Bible study.

  • I usually only do 20 minutes with a 2 minute cool down. My NSV is that I can now use the elliptical and not have my thighs rub against each other while I am using the machine!
  • Typically I gain during my cycle - a lot is water retention and it goes away in a few days as long as I stay within my calories.
  • For me it's the gym. Gets me out of the house and away from the kids for a while. My gym membership is a single membership because no one else in the family can find the time. HA, their loss!
  • Self control comes from yourself. That being said - I must have some great self control so far this GS cookie season. My daughter is in the process of selling 1,000 boxes and they are all stored in my dining room. Needless to say - I stay out of the dining room until they are sold. I have not had one cookie so far this…
  • Looking good! I haven't been pantsed, but I did have an awakening today. I went to use the bathroom today and pulled my pants down before I realized that I was supposed to unsnap and unzip them first! Guess it's time to go shopping!
  • Request coming!
  • This is so me!

  • I'm with you! I've lost 17 pounds this year, but none in the last three weeks. I'm going to the gym, working out, losing inches and building muscle but the scale numbers won't go down! I know I'm in better shape than I was before but darn I would love those scale numbers to do down as well.
  • Personal choice I guess. You have to take people's comments with a grain of salt sometimes.
  • Welcome! Feel free to friend me - we can all use extra support. (I sound like a commercial for a bra!)
  • I had pizza for dinner, too. Only I ate 4 pieces! Had lots of workout time today so according to MFP I still have extra calories today, but I am stuffed! Tomorrow is another day and I won't be eating pizza for a while. DON'T CAVE! We all have days like this. You can do it and we are all here to support you.

  • Congrats! You'll be running for longer stretches in no time. Keep up the good work!
  • Good for you! I miss going to the gym on weekends - guess I'll have to figure out some other activity if I can't make it to the gym.
  • I'm in! I'm new here so I need to join a challenge. I started the year at 269 and I am now down to 252. Goal weight at St. Patrick's day is 244. (That's actually my goal for 3/30 but if I can reach it early that's even better!)
  • Short term - to go to Disney World on vacation and be able to walk around the parks all day and not be exhausted and to be able to fit my behind in all of the seats. I sing in the choir at church and I would LOVE to be able to sing during processional and not be winded when I finally get to my seat in the choir loft! I…
  • Do you have a goal you are working towards? Personally, my short term goal is to be able to walk around an amusement park with my children for a week in April so that keeps me going. Having a lot of support from others keeps me motivated and makes me want to work harder on my goals. Keep people around you who are…
  • I no longer need to hold on to the railing when walking up stairs. I can make it up a flight without having to hold on, YEAH!
  • I've lost 17 pounds since the start of the year and people say they can see it, but I don't always see it. Pictures can help you to see the differences. As long as you feel better and the clothes fit better you know you are heading in the right direction.
