  • I'm 5'8" and would like to chime in. I have a large frame and have been as heavy as 315 pounds. I am currently down to 232 pounds and would like to get down to 170 pounds. I haven't seen "onederland" since I was in college in the early 80's (before having 5 kids in 17 years, too) but I am looking forward to getting there…
  • Sorry so late...I too did not meet my goal SW (6/01): 240 Wk1 (6/05): 239.4 Wk2 (6/12): 234 Wk3 (6/19): 234 Wk4 (6/26): Wk5 (6/30): 238 Was a bit frustrated that last week and it showed in the scale. I was down 2 from where I started and I have since dropped down to 233 so I am still making progress even though June is…
  • Did some reading for me this week - boy have I missed that! Talked to a few people I don't know as I was leaving the gym - told them how proud I was of them for showing up and working out another day! I know I always feel better when I get some encouragement so I just paid it forward---they felt better and so did I!…

  • I'm Julie and I've learned that if I add a 20 minute workout in the late afternoon or early evening to my regular workout schedule it has helped me to drop a bit more weight. I don't know if it's the extra workout, the time of day, the 30DS tape I'm using or if it's something else, but it all seems to help drop the weight.…

  • Have done 5 days on level one. Not doing Jillian today because of my left knee/leg. Lot of pain just below the knee - may need to see a doctor about it. Will give it a rest today and see how it feels tomorrow when I go for my walk in the morning. Hoping for the best so I can get right back into it.
  • Feeling good today. Got out and walked this morning and planning on Jillian's 30DS later today. Been under on calories - even with an ice cream treat at work today. Gotta keep working on the dinner menus, especially with summer coming and the kids all home from school. Finally broke through my plateau! Maybe that extra…

  • Ready for bed....gotta be up and ready to go by 5:45 with the rest of my walking/jogging group. I know it's early, but it helps to keep me accountable to the rest of the group and it gets a workout in early in the day. Then is Jillian's shred later in the afternoon. Will weigh in tomorrow morning.
  • Added Jillian's 30 Day Shred to my exercise regimen for the month. Hoping to move off of this plateau. PB&J for dinner not the best choice, but it was late and I was hungry and it was fast and easy to make. Will do better in the future.
  • Day one is done. Did the video with my 10 year old son this evening. I think he wanted to stop and rest more than I did, but we made it!

  • I'm feelin old AGE 48 with 5 kids (9-26 years) 5' 8" sw 269 cw 238 gw 175 I work at a desk doing data entry 25 hours a week. I walk 3 days a week and see a trainer the other 2 days. Currently stuck at a plateau and it's frustrating me! Need a twin to keep me motivated
  • I'm with you! I can now walk on the treadmill or use the elliptical and my thighs don't rub - what a great feeling!
  • Today must be donut day...I had three chocolated glazed munchkins this morning! Work out a bit extra and make sure it doesn't make you give up! At least you did NOT eat 7!
  • That used to happen to my dad - but his was due to high blood pressure.
  • Between the elliptical and the treadmill I went 3.5 miles on Monday. Tuesday was workout day with the trainer and he had me jogging - never done that before! I went a whole .75 miles during the workout. May not seem like much, but it was a whole lot to me!
  • Moved another 3.1 miles today at the gym!
  • Just make sure you drink lots of water to offset the sodium!
  • Sounds like something my trainer would have me do...DON'T TELL HIM!
  • Worked out at the gym with the trainer today and then walked a mile on the treadmill.
  • Moved 3.5 miles today - 2 on the elliptical and the 1.5 on the treadmill Moved 3 miles yesterday. Getting closer every day!
  • Congrats! Looking forward to ONEderland myself - 40 pounds to go!

  • That's a great achievement! I too have always said I am not a runner. I am not even a jogger! I have even said those words to my trainer who just gives me a look like "Yeah, right." He pushes me to walk as fast as I can on the treadmill and my walking has gotten faster. Now I'm starting to think that maybe I can jog - it's…
  • Off and on too many times to count. The important thing is that you get back on and continue to work on your eating habits. Plateaus are really hard to work through, but when you stick with it and change up your workouts a bit you should see some changes. I've had spots where my weight didn't drop for 6 weeks at a time,…
  • YES YOU CAN! Believe in yourself. Set some attainable goals and reward yourself when you meet those goals! I'm 48 and I started this year at 269 pounds. Not my heaviest, but close enough. I started eating better (the whole family is benefiting from my food choices) and exercising. I have a goal for the end of April and I…
  • Figured out my ticker! Moved 5 miles earlier this week and another 3 1/2 miles today. My trainer wants me to use the treadmill for 25 minutes a day 6 days a week so I should meet my goal before we go on vacation at Easter!
  • Did 5 miles today, 1/2 mile on elliptical, 3 miles on the stationary bike and 1 1/2 miles on the treadmill. Figured out how to move the ticker, YAY!
