I think that maybe the point was more that they go out of their way to NOT tell their significant other, but have no problem telling strangers on a website? Anyyyyyyyyyyyyways, I tell my husband absolutely everything, so he knows how much my starting weight was and how much I weigh now. For a while he didn't know, but that…

I don't have a set day to "weigh in" ... I weigh myself a few times a week, probably, but only log it when there is a significant loss. I don't log anything less than a pound as a loss because it can fluctuate so much. Sometimes, I'll even wait until I see the loss over a span of a few days before I log it to make sure…

Yup, nuts have protein too. Water is definitely important. I struggle with that too. Ugh. lol

Hey there hunn... Sorry to hear about your frustration! But I am right there with you. I was diagnosed as a teen and always just thought that I was destined to be fat. About a year and a half ago, I decided that before I just gave up, I needed to actually TRY and lose weight first. And here I am! It is definitely much more…

Are you eating back your exercise calories? You need to be. You aren't getting enough food to fuel your body if you don't and you are working out consistently. If you are hungry and irritable, your body is trying to tell you something. You should listen! The fact that you don't feel hungry anymore may be a result of your…

I'm pretty picky too, actually, lol. There are a lot of things that you could eat that are high in calories but still healthy- the main one is nuts. You can eat a handful of nuts, which won't seem like a lot of food, but it does have a very high caloric content. Or nut butters, if you prefer to eat it that way, lol. Beans…

That is EXACTLY how I talk/think about it! lol!

Really? I swear to you that I am not trying to sound mean, but I doubt that. Your daily goal is 1430 calories. Is it actually possible that you are burning close to 1000 calories in exercise, like your diary states? That sounds pretty unlikely to me. Even if that IS true- if you are using the MFP calculations, you should…

Order the kid's meal at McDonald's and get it with apple dippers instead of fries, no drink. It actually isn't a bad option. Be careful with salads- they can be loaded up with bacon/cheese/croutons/dressing/etc. which can potentially make them worse than a hamburger! If you get a sandwich with mayo, make sure to ask for no…

When you filled out your information, MFP gave you a calorie goal to hit daily. You should eat that much every day. On days that you exercise, you will see when you enter in exercise, it will add calories back to your diary. If you don't have a HRM, you should eat back probably around half of those to be safe. MFP has…

I was diagnosed in my teens, and the only medication that I've ever taken for it was birth control. My doctor wanted to put me on metformin, but I'm skeptical of medications and being on the pill was more than enough for me... despite my mother's pleading, even as a teen I didn't want anything to do with it, and despite…

No, don't do that! Like everyone else said, why mess up something that is working for you?! I joined an online weight loss competition with a team last summer. I had already been losing weight for 6 months before starting the three month long competition. It was based on percentage weight lost, not pounds... I lost over…

OMG amazing! Do you have a better picture? Black widows are gorgeous. I've seen a few of them and they are just so pretty. My husband ended up with a bunch of them crawling over his arms at work one day (by accident!)- luckily, he had gloves on and they didn't get under them; he managed to survive, LOL. So glad to hear…

I'm not afraid of anything. However, I am accountable to myself. I don't NEED to be accountable to other people. I know when I don't eat as well as I should, I know I need to get in more exercise, I know when I've eaten too much or too little. I don't need anybody else checking up on me because I'm a mature adult with…

It might be that you aren't eating enough on a daily basis. What I find sometimes is that when I eat over my calories, it changes things up and your body starts to lose weight again. If you are eating the same exact amount of calories every day (or close to it!), your body can get used to that and stall out. When you do…

I don't get it... 2.5 lbs. in a week is absolutely NOT slow. That's MORE than the maximum that you should be losing per week to be losing weight in a healthy way. You really shouldn't be losing more than 2 lbs. per week. Even MFP has it so that you can't put in a higher loss than that per week. So what's the problem? It…

As others have said, Tuesdays are the best times to buy. For a domestic US flight, three months before is when you are going to get the best deals. Search sites like Kayak.com, and do the flexible search, so that you can search all airlines and multiple days at once to see what the best flights are. If you can travel…

These are my typical breakfasts: I make a Greek omelet that is to die for... I use sliced black olives and slice kalamata olives, mix them with chopped cucumber and some mixed herb seasoning, garlic salt, and usually some extra oregano. Then, I saute baby spinach in a pan with a little bit of the kalamata oil from the…

Too funny... I LOVE using tiny spoons, and I used to use a baby spoon to eat yogurt all the time when I still lived at my parents! Though I don't know that it ever assisted my weight loss, LOL.

This is my Trader Joe's shopping list: Light feta cheese Bag of baby spinach Beef bacon Turkey bacon Vanilla Meringues Reduced Guilt Mac & Cheese (frozen) Jumbo eggs (they have the cheapest eggs around! at least where I am!)

So many ways, lol. I like them poached, yolks runny, whites cooked, on a piece of toast. I make a Greek omelet that is to die for... I use sliced black olives and slice kalamata olives, mix them with chopped cucumber and some mixed herb seasoning, garlic salt, and usually some extra oregano. Then, I saute baby spinach in a…

I don't use cream of mushroom in most of my crockpot recipes. Here are some of the better ones that I've made: Crockpot Chili: Ground beef/turkey (I like 93/7 beef or 99/1 turkey) 2 cans of beans, your choice (I like 1 can of black and 1 can of dark red kidney) 1 whole onion, chopped 1 large can of diced or crushed…

I was on Yaz and then switched to Yasmin when it came out. I was on them for a total of about 6 years. Never had any problems or any side effects. Made my periods much lighter, shorter, regular (obviously), and really helped reduce cramping. I can't say if I gained weight or not, since I did gain in those 6 years but that…

You should google the twinkie diet, lol.

So true. If you didn't enjoy it, then you won't go for it next time! I did this the other day- had enough cals/fat left, so I had a small bag of Doritos. And they were NOT that good. Isn't worth it for me to do it again, and now I know that, and I'm glad! You don't need to deprive yourself. As long as you eat…

Wait... the chicken is cooked after only 10 minutes of broiling? Really? (Why have I never done this before?? LOL)

Post hoc ergo propter hoc. Just because it happened after you had the emergen-c, doesn't mean that it CAUSED it. You've been on a plateau for a while now. Maybe it was just time for the plateau to be broken and you lost some weight all at once. Maybe you did drink more water and that helped, or it was the little bit of…

You should know, the less you have to lose, the harder it is. If you weighed 200 lbs., it would be easy to lose 10 lbs. in a month. But at 150? I don't think that's realistic at all. It takes much longer and is much harder to do it if you want to do the healthy way and keep it off.

I would change your lifestyle setting to lightly active or active- whatever you thinks fits best. That way, MFP will calculate that into your daily goals, and then you won't need to think about tracking it as exercise. If it is something that you do everyday, or almost every day, it will work much better to do it this way.…

I've totally been there, and I know what you are going through. Back when I first started dating my husband- we were both in high school- I completely expected him to drop all of his other friends. At first, he resisted, but when I got upset because he'd stay out all night and he wasn't with me and didn't call me to say…
