  • I am soooo ready to lose 80lbs! Let's do this!
  • Update: You all are awesome. I increased my calorie count to 1500 and only eat back about half my exercise calories. I also bought a food scale and it appears I was underestimating just a little but it was still insightful. I think my biggest issue was that my calorie count was too low so my body stalled. Since this post I…
  • My very first 5k...my goal was just to finish it..running/walking I completed it in 40 mins. My 2nd 5K was 5 months later with consistent training and I hit 34 mins. I ran the entire time. My next one is in 2 weeks and based on my training runs. I think I'm going to come in at 32 mins. Congrats on getting off the couch and…
  • Ok, I am gonna buy a scale tonight, start weighing my foods so that I make sure I am tracking properly. I'm also going to stick to a 1600 calorie diet without eating my exercise calories back. I think part of my problem is that on days that I do really well in the gym and burn alot I tend to add a "lil extra" on my plate…
  • I usually estimate my calories based on packaging and using measuring cups/spoons. I have never weighed my food. So maybe I need to invest in a scale. I never thought that I could be overestimating my calories burned and underestimating my food intake.
  • Tony, My average weekly caloric intake is about 8000 calories(that is net). I usually eat back most of my exercise calories. I've lost about 28lbs already. I've been measuring and my BMI has decreased from 42% in Jan to 35% today so I know I've done something right. I am 5'4" about 191lbs (on a good day). My calculated BMR…
  • Really.....you think so? I feel like I eat too much. I eat back my exercise calories so I usually net about 1200. Would you mind taking a look at my diary
  • The problem with PCOS is that the impact to your body is not the same for every person. So it is very hard to treat and give a proper diagnosis. So my PCOS, causes me to have lots of hair, struggle with weight loss and fertility issues. Another person could have hair thinning problems, Diabetes and struggle with weight…
  • I understand your frustration. I too have PCOS so I know the struggle that we deal with just to MAINTAIN the weight. It feels like every bite goes straight to your hips. We have to be more careful and strict than others because of the way our body processes food. With all that being said, I went thru the exact same thing…
  • Also, Diannethegeek...you are my inspiration!! Looking at your ticker just made my day!!!
  • Pregnant??!!?? Holy cow Telomin...don't scare me! lol You all are bringing up good points. I have to admit, the last couple days haven't been my healthiest in eating habits because I had family in town. While I stayed below my calorie limits the food that I ate lacked any nutritional content so I guess it makes sense I am…
  • After much debate and research I decided to start phentermine. I started on 2/10. On the 1st day, I took a whole pill and felt like I could climb Mt Everest which really wasn't that bad because it motivated me to run 4 miles. (The first time in months). Since then I started taking a half pill in the AM and the other half…
  • Is it too late to join? I have been taking pics...it will help to have others to stay accountable too
