We have been staying home as much as possible for a couple of weeks now. We went out 'driving just for the sake of it' twice over the weekend with our learner driver son just to get out.

We (Australia) just entered that level yesterday. All non-essential services are closed from midday today. My state is still keeping schools open but local government is allowing parents to withdraw kids from school without penalty. I work in Education Management and we are working through red tape to potentially operate…

Hey! My (almost exact) sentiments almost got this thread shut down a few days go ;) Worth reading an article that was released today re Australian's most trusted leaders...Guess who tops the list? I won't link it in case it's deemed too political ;) *google I live in an Australian capital city. Our team has started working…

@Nony_Mouse I'd like to think everyone could extend a little kindness and compassion at the moment but I'm afraid these things don't always bring out the best in people. Our Prime Minister for one...want to swap?... ;)

Australian here. My husband and I called into a local supermarket this morning for 'a few things' I usually grocery shop exclusively online and rely on my small, independent local grocer for occasional purchases. Due to many items not being available online, we braved the supermarket. Queues for the checkouts took 45…

First his exposure and then Boris'...maybe COVID-19 is out to smash the patriarchy... ;)

Agree. I admire them for being honest and sharing their status so matter of factly. They are hospitalised very close to where I live and many people I know went to Rita's speaking event.

Macro Mike powdered PB is excellent (and Australian). It comes in a few flavours too :)

Exactly this. If WW is so effective, why the heck do they keep changing it?

I ordered some of this tea online after reading this thread. Heads up...if you try and import Kava tea to Australia it will be seized by customs. Lesson learned ;)

You can adapt any muffin recipe to bake in those small disposable tins also.

Work lunch for 4 days this week. Leftover veg in the fridge frittata.

I use some light, velco wrap gloves when I lift. A bit of rust wouldn't bother me.

I'm lucky to have a single garage space for my gym. I mostly use my barbell, bench and free weights and occasionally the treadmill and ball etc. I'm in here at least 3-4 times a week and it's perfectly suitable for my needs. Working fulltime + a 3 hour daily commute + 4 kids means going to a gym is impossible.

I had cauliflower and cashew soup for lunch today (not homemade) and it was delicious. I also love sweet potato and pear soup or caramelised onion and lentil soup.

We don't have the fifth here in my country, but if we did, I'd plead it ;) "Wasn't me officer, I was eating fermented shark in Reykjavík on that day, see"...

I keep sachets of Cup-a-Soup or miso for when I need a hot, savoury 'drink'.

I eat them occasionally but always bulk them up with a bag of steamed veg.

Mixed leaves, roasted pumpkin, seared lamb, feta and a dash of greek lemon dressing.

When I was first losing some years ago I ate Hunts 99% fat free chocolate puddings because they were tasty and low cal. They have been discontinued here. So sad.

My Dad used to make stovetop coffee like that too. Not sure about the nutmeg but that conjured up a lovely memory :)

Coles are selling bags of mini Summer Rolls now...amazing.

Or a dagwood dog, depending on where you live.

My husband lost around 20kg (44 lbs) a few years ago. He developed coccyx pain, much like you describe. Because he flies frequently for work, the pain was very problematic. He was referred to an exercise physiologist who designed a program of exercises designed to build his glutes. Much of his pain was due to those muscles…

Recently my husband and I sat together over a glass of wine and read our food diaries from our honeymoon in Europe 2 years ago so we could remember exactly where we were each day! It was a great memory prompt.

Amazing. Would you mind posting the ingredients?

Halloumi is very popular here in Australia too :)

I made a batch of dip last night which equates to around 30 cals for a 10g serve...great protein count and perfect with raw veggies. I blitzed a tub of Brancourts Protein cottage cheese with a sprinkle of french onion soup mix in my food processor until I was happy with thr flavour. A little light sour cream or greek…

I make a batch of these most weekends for my teens to take out of the fridge or freezer and microwave each weekday morning as we leave the house super early. https://www.recipetineats.com/homemade-sausage-egg-mcmuffin/ I usually omit the egg, use a low calorie cheese slice and extra lean ground beef for the patties.

I wake on work days at 5:30am. I make a travel mug of tea for my 1-1.5 hour commute and have another cup of tea and a piece of fruit around 10am. I've never been much of a breakfast eater so this works for me. I also find if I eat early in the morning I'm hungrier during the day.
