So I'm helping a kiddo with her work. I'm crouched a bit with my hands on my knees. And I think, "oh dear god, why does my knee fat feel thick?? Why do my thighs feel different?? Is there something wrong with my legs??....wait....that's my muscles"!

I like- I'm gonna roll with this. Actually one of my non-weight goals is to accomplish a single pull up! Never in my life have I managed one (and I used to be a gymnast!). Hahaha!

This. I don't understand the point of monthly weight loss goals. You can eat on target every single day and not hit a weight loss goal due to water weight fluctuation. Our bodies aren't mathematical machines that notch down evenly click click click as we lose weight. It seems like a recipe for frustration and makes me…

Understood- but this means I would plan for no loss during the month of July. Should I just plot it so that July I hover around 161? Or should I skip that original goal and change it to, say, 157? Thank you for the reply!

That video is awesome!! What a way to visualize the tiny differences!!

5'3" lady 29 years old SW 171 (June 2016) GW 119 (want to be maintaining here by March 2017) I didn't account for the first "easy 10 lbs" when I made my goals. I planned to be 163 by the end of July, 157 by end of Aug etc. But 3 weeks in and I'm already 161 (water weight but not complaining!). A) roll with the quick 10 and…

I keep trying to write the whole thing but then it disappears when I try to post! Gah!

4-5 lbs for me (salt is my sticking point)

Hate that feeling! I find in this circumstance, though, that as soon I put something in my mouth I instantly want it (unless it's because I'm stressed out). Good opportunity to go for a super healthy food or one you've never tried!

Oh that is perfect! Thank you

My system is this: while losing weight I only weigh myself twice a month. But! I weigh myself three times a day for 3 days and log the average.
-
I'm genuinely just curious to experience how it feels to be 120 lbs. The last time I weighed that little I was in 5th grade and still growing (5ft at the time and rocketed all the way to 5ft3in). And of course; I want to look slammin' >:)

this Have whatever you want, just less of it.

With so little to lose, I'd say a month. You're basically starting out on 'the last five pounds'. I got great advise from a pharmacist once- when you're losing weight, measure yourself two or four times a month. That way you see bigger numbers. When you get to maintaining, measure every morning to keep an eye on the little…

Awesome! I hovered tantalizingly close to the 140's this morning. Here's hoping for good news by the end of the week!!

A life without potatoes is no life at all. I keep it to 1/2 russet per day (or equivalent of other colors shapes etc). And as of yet, have not run out of ways to prepare said spuds! I count it as a veggie, but keep the other, inferior starches to a minimum. :drinker:

Bah! That's what I thought. Not complaining- losing is losing!

Good running shoes and lots and lots and lots of stretching pre and post run. I'm talking holding every little stretch for 30 seconds 3x

Way to go! So awesome!! I too have a 5'0" 99lbs mother in law- getting pics near her made me cringe. Keep it up but hey, if you land a little short of your goal so what? You look great :drinker: Here's to you!

That makes a lot of sense. I know I was eating too much sodium (a scary amount actually). And looking back I was definitely bloated from my period. Many thanks!!

I find that any warm salad with 1/2 a little protein fills me up faster than a cold one. 1cup spinach 1/2 cup collard greens baby bella mushrooms garlic salt n pepper onion your favorite protein sauté eat

5' 3" now 146lbs (woop!) Just jumped into my size 8 jeans with no muffin top! 8 weeks ago I was 168 and squeezing into a size 12-14 A note on body composition- my thighs have shrunk a bit so my rear looks better in the 8's

Best potato salad ever: 2-3 red potatoes cut or sliced Sprinkle salt n pepper and a clove of chopped garlic Roast at 425 degrees about 25 minutes until golden brown (this step is important) Put 'em into a bowl and add fresh cut dill, tbsp light omega mayo, chopped pickle (or cucumber) and a chopped shallot I serve this…

Take it one day at a time! I've had the same exact mentally as you- 'great, I'm losing! Kick back'. But this time I wake up every morning and say, 'do it again, girl, keep doing what you're doing'. If I have a slack day it's because I said so, and with full understanding that tomorrow is a go getter day.
