Regarding the food I thought the same....when I totaled up over all calories. :astonished:

Yeah, I start reaching my fill around 3500 calories, I don't know how I could pack in another 1500 consistently. If I were in his shoes, I would do a cut, but that's me. I was wondering his age as well, they didn't supply it, so I guess I need to google it.

Lot of hard work Dedication Staying very strict on your diet. Start about 16 weeks out to slowly cut away fat, and preserve as much muscle as possible. Add in a lot more cardio towards the end. Do the competition HAVE A HUGE MEAL AFTER. :smile:

IF is just an eating plan, nothing more. The same basic rule applies. Calories in vs Calories out. If you want to gain weight, you have to eat more.

You could be right..... Just going by things I have read, that's all..... but ghrelin is not a generalization.

I use stevia also.... I believe stevia is a natural sweetener....not artificial. And it also does not cause an insulin response.

Ok, so here is Seth's theory (that's me) We have a hormone called ghrelin....this hormone is what drives our hunger/appetite. And typically what pushes ghrelin is carbs..... LOL, you know what they say about assuming, right? Some people "monitor" their intake by guessing how much of something they eat is......vs actually weighing it. Then you have the ppl that go get 3 burgers, but order a diet soda, cause they think that is what they need to do.....

You are correct, and I agree with this. But people don't track and log as the norm, right? Plus if you are aware of the lack of triggers and responses due to drinking diet sodas, then you would get less people asking the whole "I just had xxxxx, but I am still hungry." read one article a while back about people who drink diet sodas, and still some how gain weight.... And one of the things they said, is that in and of itself, the diet coke would help a person lose weight (less calories).....but the artificial sweetner being used, did not trigger responses in the body and mind...... Hmmm...2 weeks...not a lot of time. Find a posing coach ASAP, a good one. Start working on that. Keep carbs low for now, and add in 2-a-day cardio sessions......

Need to know what your maintenance calories are, and then eat at least +500 calories more than that......daily. Lift heavy, train hard.

I am 6'1" And trust me, I look small.....I hate having to get this low in weight, just to be cut.

Does in my case. I take after my mother, and have a small frame.... tiny wrists..... And yes, trying to maintain a daily intake of food >3500 is VERY hard for me. I can do it for like 2 or 3 days....but then I am so stuffed, that for the next 4 days I eat around 2500 calories or less.....no appetite.
