If you are at maintenance or above with your calories, then most studies say that all a person will need is about 0.8 gr / lb of body weight. If you are trying to lose weight, then bumping that up to at least 1.0 gr / lb of body weight would be better. I personally shoot for about 1.2 gr or more during my cuts.

I finished out my little experiment....went pretty well, I can't complain. Weight went as expected. Attached are pics I took each Friday morning.

800 is way to low for starters. 1200 is more or less a minimum base line, that may be too low for you. You will do yourself good, if you take 2 weeks (at least) and stay on point with your calories and see how your body responds Then you can adjust your calories up or down.

IIFYM works. If you did put on 20 pounds in 5 months, that is about 4 pounds a month....of that, 1 lb might be muscle, the other 3 is most likely fat. I just recently did the month of March, eating all my food (lunches and dinners) from fast food places. Keeping my calories and macros in check. Had very good results, and…

If you see the results you want, with what works for you, then why change? Everyone is different.... There is no one size fits all thing when it comes to how we lose or gain weight....other than you either need a calorie deficit or surplus to achieve one or the other.

You could prolly skip counting....by cutting out certain things. I know for me, when it is time to cut for summer...just cutting out ice cream, brownies, cookies, etc....will allow me to drop weight to being somewhat "beach" ready. If I wanna get even more lean, then I have to track/log/count my calories.

The 100 was ok, just know it is geared for teens The Arrow, again just ok..... The Flash, again just ok....both shows have the predictable "it's all my fault" line and the routine emotional moment. Currently watching 'Colony'....not to bad, I suppose.

Or if you added in exercise to your daily log, that will alter your calories. If that is the case, I recommend just picking a number (that allows u to reach your goals) and sticking with it, regardless of what MFP does.

There is no such thing as "tone" Your muscles have a predefined shape, and look.....genetics. You will see what you have when you reduce your body fat enough to show the muscle. Assuming that you do something to maintain/develop said muscle during weight loss.

Overall calories in your day is what matters when it comes to weight loss or gain, not when you eat said calories.
