I like RunKeeper for running etc. It has some programmes built in to chose from (some free ones) and it updates mfp automatically.

I had a trochanteric bursitis which I developed while trampolining, treated with physio and now I'm back into running. It only took a couple of weeks to fix, but I was very good about doing my homework :) Hope it all works out for you!

A few people have mentioned it, but I'll add my vote to the NHS podcasts - they're free, and narrated by the lovely Laura, who gives hints and tips and is always calm and encouraging. I'm a bit in love with her.
