dude. i'd barf. lol....I can't eat or drink ANYthing before or during a run. Unfortunately this means I can't crack out anything farther than a half marathon....i definitely couldn't have done 2.5 miles after that many donuts.

lol....true. it is kind of weird.

it IS all CICO...and i DO outrun what most would consider a "bad" diet. I typically eat like 3/4 of my calories in chocolate, cake and ice cream every day. Am I putting on weight? nope. I still eat less calories than my TDEE due to what I run every day.

I think I do not have the balls necessary to do such a thing. lol

True story...I only lost weight because if I hadn't I wouldn't have been allowed to donate a kidney. I was actually quite happy and healthy when I was fat. No medical issues whatsoever, better cardio stamina than most of my thin friends... I lost the weight and everyone kept saying "you must FEEL so much better!", but I…

Thanks for the reminder. I'm supposed to take a buttload of Vitamin D supplement and I keep forgetting. Whoops!

Hmm....this is all so bizarre to me....based on the number of responses here my experience is clearly not the norm, but I've never been weighed at the doctor's office for just general visits....and I was 300 some-odd pounds once upon a time...so it's not like I was just normal and therefore they felt they didn't need to.…

false TNP thinks dogs are great but cats are better off in the ground. Or on a plate.....depending on where you live....

True TNP has travelled to at least 4 countries aside from the one in which they were born

False TNP has walked out of a public bathroom with either their dress tucked into their underwear/pantyhose or toilet paper trailing from their shoe

everyone is different....a lot of people say more protein makes them feel full longer but I find that I'm so hungry within an hour after a big hit of protein that it feels like my stomach is eating itself.....carbs? no prob. I can go hours and hours after some pasta or something and not even think about food.

I do it too. And just to make sure I have room for the liter of ice cream I'm sure to want that night, I'll "prepay" with whatever distance of run I'll need to make it happen. lol.
-
"You must have a pretty strict diet" no, not really "But what do you even eat?" Anything I want...which translates to a heck of a lot of ice cream, chocolate and cake "No but what do you ACTUALLY eat...like to be healthy" I ACTUALLY eat a heck of a lot of ice cream, chocolate and cake. And processed food. And giant bags of…

I think sometimes people expect a little diet and exercise to quickly and magically take off what took years to accumulate. You won't necessarily see fast and super visible results, but if you actually commit to the lifestyle that it will take to consume less calories than you burn (either by eating much less...if you've…

yeah....I run about 8km which, according to the interwebs is about the equivalent of 10,000 steps....and that gives me (running, not walking) about 500 cal

I was 11 and walking home from school...saw it poking up out from under a bush, palm up... and at first I thought it must be some kind of pranky type thing, but it looked fairly real...and a little bloody, so I grabbed an empty sandwich back from my backpack, turned it inside out and made me a glove to pick it up with. I…

well....I was walking at the time....but I did run across a human hand.....

the amount lost has to do with caloric deficit, not whether you eat "clean", whatever that means to you. this just means (other factors such as water retention, time of the month etc aside) you had a deficit of approximately 2100 calories spread out over the week. Nothing wrong with that.

well, I don't know....what kind of skills do you bring to the table, Vik?

haha...I totally do this. I always like to prepay my weightloss prior to vacay time. Except I know my eating habits...and that I won't necessarily want to spend half my day running 20k every day like I can at home...so I try to pre-lose at least 5 - 7 pounds

I think the problem with medication isn't so much that it actually causes weight gain (though that's probably the easiest way for Doctors to explain the correlation between medication and weight gain), but that either the hormonal changes they can cause can alter your metabolism so you're not burning as many calories (so…
