Good luck. There is no way I could give up my coffee. If I needed to avoid the break room I would just take my own thermos.

I'm not sure. I haven't heard anything about when the next season is supposed to start. They have been airing reruns on TLC though.
-
That show isn't much better. They have had participants come out and talk about being put on VLCD's and dehydrating for weigh ins at the urging of producers. The Biggest Loser and Extreme Makeover are actually created and produced by the same person.

I found The Beck Diet Solution and The Diet Trap Solution by Dr. Judith Beck to be helpful. The first one is about building healthy habits over time and the second one is about how to deal with things that can throw us off track like travelling, holidays, family, or ourselves. Neither book lays out any kind of specific…

Another thing to keep in mind is that if these people see you on a regular basis then it might be harder for them to see it. I know it's hard not to let it get to you. I've been there myself and it's why I gained back the weight I lost a few years ago. Just keep doing what you need to do for yourself.

Not only do you need to use a food scale for accuracy but you need to make sure that you are using accurate entries from the database. Many of them are user entered and may be incorrect or outdated. If you look in the helpful posts announcement at the top of this forum, you will find a link for the thread about logging…

How many calories are you eating a day?
-
@ReaderGirl3 do you also use Mperks at Meijer? I find that is a great way to find even more savings, especially for things that stores normally don't give coupons and offers for things like meat and produce.
-
I bought mine from Torrid. They have a good selection of one piece, tankinis, and bikinis. They usually have good sales and coupons and I was able to get $40 off of the one I bought a few weeks ago.

What is your actual calorie goal?
-
The minimum for men is 1500 calories. You might be losing at a fast rate but by eating such a low amount you are increasing muscle loss.
-
It sounds like you may have set up your account and goal during the time there was a glitch in the app that set people below the minimums. Rerun your goals like others have suggested and go from there.

I guess you can say she is catfishing for compliments.
-
One thing that I have to constantly remind myself of is that I can't control what others say but I can control how I react to it.

Announcing it on FB is a great way to find out who sells weight loss products. As far as adding someone from MFP to my FB it would all depend on who it is. The only person who has asked me was a coach so that was a no go.

At first I was wondering why this was flagged, now I see we have "like" and "awesome" buttons. Great job OP!

Nobody can really say how much she would lose from surgery except for a plastic surgeon so that question really can't be answered by anyone here. Her other question was answered. I can't answer for other people but I don't think that this is a good idea because of why she wants to do it. She wants to do this instead of…

Lipo isn't a guarantee that the weight will stay off. If anything if you gain you will just end up with another problem area. You will still need to watch your diet (noun) and exercise. This is coming from someone who has had it done. If you are letting your students get to you, maybe it's time to teach them a lesson on…

The only one using the word liar is you. While MFP is a great tool, it's too easy to be inaccurate without really realizing it. The database entries are mainly user added and can be inaccurate due to typos, changes in ingredients/serving sizes, or the NI came from a bad source. Even the verified entries are not guaranteed…

They have a similar program for sale at Walmart for $10. The only thing that you don't get with it are the workout DVD's. If you really feel the need to try it I would go that route.

You would probably have a field day making fun of the way I have things arranged in my dresser drawers and closet

Most of the things that you mentioned I will just buy individual servings of that item. I can get individual cookies, two slices of cheesecake, or a cupcake instead of an entire cake from the bakery. They also have smaller cakes but since it's just me the items I mentioned are more than enough. I don't drink wine very…

I usually don't worry about it. I eat what I can handle and stick to drinking Vernor's ginger ale and Gatorade. I don't worry about the calories in it since I'm not eating much and I figure the calories will do me some good.

For me having goals keeps me focused. I used to set monthly non-scale goals for myself. I know that I don't have total control over the number on the scale but I can control how often I log my meals, how much water I drink, and how often I go to the gym, etc. Thanks for posting this OP. It was a nice reminder that I need…

I have a list of the reasons why I want to lose weight that I read several times a day, especially when I don't feel like doing what I need to do. I remind myself that if I don't stick with it then I won't reach those goals. Since I've started doing that I've been a lot more consistent with my logging.

My parents are coming down and we are going out to eat so it's actually going to be easier for me than holidays usually are. I'm going to take a look at the menu ahead of time, prelog it, and plan the rest of my day around it.
-
I do. It's part of my morning cleaning routine.

Are you using a food scale to measure your portion sizes? Making sure that you are using accurate entries from the database? You may be eating more than you think without realizing it. Now that you are down 45 pounds (congrats!) you don't have much room for error as you did in the beginning. It might be a good idea to set…

The coupons from Torrid are great too. I don't think I have ever paid full price for anything there.

I wear compression capris and they are comfortable, stay where they are, no overheating, and no wear in the material from chub rub.
