Pictures of myself both fit and unfit (mostly these because I'm not fit yet!) Photos of before and after on here Particular pieces of clothing that I own that I want to fit into/look good in Positive reinforcement from trainer and fellow gym members, though some are a bit too full on! Stalkers! Measurements going down and…

No, 44! But that made my day! You look 23

I was the Queen of excuses. To be honest, there is no good reason not to exercise. The NerdFitness Beginners video takes me 18min or so, maybe 20. I spend that time picking out what I'm going to wear to work and getting dressed. If I picked what I was going to wear the night before, I'd do it in the morning. I found it was…

I <3 Galway and it's my home!

Galway is where I live! Yay!

Go, Ireland! Next time you're here, go to Galway... it's the best city in Ireland!

I think they're a bit too carby for me...I do better with lower carb foods.

Thanks to all in this thread... I'm off to the gym now and nickyfm, let's touch base later on... I'd love to be accountable and maybe after every night (my night, your morning--your night, my morning) we can send a message of honesty and 100% truth about what we ate (or hopefully DIDN'T eat!)... Off to the gym now and I'm…

Wow that is a total body transformation if I ever saw one. Very inspirational! Thanks for sharing and I hope one day to be able to post something similar. :)

That's actually a great idea because I train generally in the morning (I'm a morning person)...after a good session I am not in the humour to eat nevermind binge. Might try this! Thanks!

Good idea re: fighting it and I agree, when i'm "in teh zone" nothing or no one could make me binge...it's just breaking the cycle, like you say, for 3 weeks or so. It's very hard but nice to know I'm not alone! For me, a bit of carbs/sugar is enough to put me into a spiral so total abstinence is what works for me....…

Excellent and loving the toned arms. I'm hoping my arms tone up soon because it's really getting me down lately!

Well done and looking forward to your updates! Enjoy lifting!

Great idea! Last night I actually talked mhyself through it. It sounded like this... "You've eaten enough. You're not actually hungry (CRISPS/CHIPS sugar sugar sugar)" "Just go to sleep. You won't die if you don't eat chocolate." (But it's so nice and a few won't hurt...you worked so hard today at the gym you deserve it)…

To be honest, 2kg really isn't enough weight to do much of anything. Lifting should be a strain. Using dumbell weights during cardio is one thing, but if it's lifting and strength/toning you're after, I think 2kg is too light. I found the beginner's programme at nerdfitness.com great... all you need is one heavyish weight…

Seasoned binger here...I understand your fear. I'm the same. In fact, when my dad died and I was in the States for 12 days in November, I gained 11 lbs, yes, I lost most of it quite quickly, but I didn't fit into my clothes... bingeing is a curse... so much guilt and anxiety. I'm going to make myself exercise and drink 3L…

I agree, sending a younger male child into the men's room isn't on. My son, who is 7, is quite shy and to be honest, I'd be worried if I sent him to the male changing room he'd take off his swim trunks put on his clothes and leave the trunks on the floor. He can change himself, obviously, however, doing so in a room where…

Same boat as you and mine is sinking fast! I am just like you, only I don't have PCOS... I'd love the support, too! I'm AGAIN on day 1 of eating clean and day 2 of training hard. I was excellent until last night when I binged on crisps, biscuits, chocolates, yogurt (no the good stuff) and generally ruined all my hard work…

No offense meant but 10stone on a 5'7 male is very very slim. (That's 140lbs or about 63kg)? Why do you want to be 10stone?
-
I will update my weight again in two weeks time...when I"ve given my body two solid weeks of hard workouts and eating clean... (If you don't count the three days in London this weekend!) I'm learning slowly not to worry about the scale and look at measurements, however, I have gone up in those, too so hopefully in two…

Thanks, DavPul. Now a stupid question ...should I keep working the right tricep or will I end up looking unbalanced if I do?

My husband doens't go to the gym nor does he want to. Yesterday, he accompanied me and the kids for a swim. During this time I met two professional rugby players in the hot tub and sauna. He was where he could see me. I asked them to say hi to my son who is a big fan of the team they play for. My husband was chuffed,…

Is that something a physio could help with? Or a sports masseuse?

steam room or sauna... wonder if hubby can hire the one at the gym when they're closed?

What I'm saying re: parents with guns in the house who are irresponsible with them... They often say, "Oh no, my child knows the guns are off limits and he/she would never touch them." How can the parent know? No more than a pet owner not knowing how his dog (mostly) will react to a situation... This owner knows the dog is…

Let me clarify a few points: She would've walked by the private changing rooms on the way to the main changing room. The private changing rooms are signposted (maybe not large enough) that opposite sex children over the age of 8 are not allowed. There are two such signs. I didn't say anything but I did dress more modestly…

Let me summarise my point: 1. Yes, you are not keeping him so your child and your family and immediate neighbours are safe. 2. You want to rehome him either with or without some training (which until now hasn't worked multiple times).... 3. So then, he can hurts someone else's children/animals? Is that right? How is that…

Read my latest post...I wasn't the one who was saying she was keeping the dog. I accept she's giving it away. To be someone else's problem and possible risk of hurting/killing someone else.
