Oh god, I forgot about perfumes! Smoke (second hand smoke) strong smelling cleaners and especially chemically air fresheners... I forgot to say the onset for me of migraines was in secondary school. I would not eat breakfast and have the school salad bar for lunch which i'm sure was full of perservatives and additives and…

Irish comedians I would recommend you watch: Dylan Moran (of Black Books but his stand up is better) Dara Ó Briain (ok stand up, but he's better on Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You) Tommy Tiernan (funny stand up but not sure if humour translates outside of Ireland) Sminky Shorts (a series of cartoons on youtube) Des…

What causes mine are: processed meats and cheeses which contain nitrates (hot dogs, cheap cold meats, cured or smoked foods) Caffeine withdrawal: this is in fact, for me, the worst WORST migraines I've ever had...everytime I've been pregnant/bfeeding I've cut out caffeine by cutting down and cutting down until I've had to…

Weigh yourself once a week. --- If I'm focused, weighing in every morning same time works. Why? Because I can gain up to a half stone in a week if left to my own devices so the daily checking works for me...taking into account water retention from lifting, sodium, hormonal fluctuations, etc...I don't get stressed about the…

I do the same... it's very frustrating. Sometimes what works for me is logging everything I'm going to eat for the day on MFP and then only sticking to that...I know it's hard but it's not a day at a time but one bite at a time to break the bingeing cycle...it's not easy. I am on day one of trying to get back on track...I…

This is *exactly* what I was looking for!! Thanks a million! Off to nerd myself out...it says to do them every second day? Would ye concur? I've been training 5/6 days and took an unexpected 3 days off and went back to bingeing on ****e food and messing about not drinking water and whatever (kicks self in *kitten*)...…

5ft6.5in currently about 160lbs and wearing a UK 12 (some 10s)... Was 215lbs (15st 8lbs) and wore a 20/22 UK!!! a few years ago... Was down to 10st 3, 143.3lbs and wore a size 10 (some 8s)... but was 'skinny fat'...so...weight doesn't concern me...fitness and clothes size... I'd like to be a 6/8 UK and toned.

thanks everyone ... staying the course for now and ignored the scales today but it's a hard habit to break!! my sixth training session this week in the gYM with the pt and I killed it. did things I'd never have done even at my goal weight so victory is in my sight.

I wish I'd enjoyed my perky 20 year old boobs when I had them instead of covering them up (as was the fashion) and hating them. Now I'm considering expensive surgery to get them back to where they were pre-kids/feeding and yo-yo dieting. That's pretty much it, though. Oh, and I'd have taken better care of my skin when I…

Bacardi and soda water with a splash of lime cordial (Rose's)...if that's wrong, I don't want to be right.

coffee I have a new fancy shmansy coffee maker and it's my last indulgence. I can't let go. I heart you coffee forever and ever. Just you and me. :)

Philly cheesesteaks. On a recent trip to Philly, I had one for lunch and one for dinner. My worst binges always involve some salty, some sweet and some creamy foods. Thinking of all that glurge in my tummy makes me feel sick. Also explains the big gut I still carry around. :(

First let me say that I love when younger guys try to chat me up, I tell them my age (almost 44) and that I'm married and they say, "Age is just a number." I'll be 44 in a few weeks and let me say that I can no longer say I'm in my 'early' forties but heavily esconced in my mid forties and to be honest, feeling grand about…

thanks, I'll add those few types to my repertoire! :)

You're right! How rude of me! Sorry OP and other protein shake people!

My bum is flat like a very large piece of paper but lumpier. I'm killed doing squats, all kinds and lunges, too...is it necessary to do squats heavy? I'm doing them with as much weight as I can and increasing weekly. I can feel more muscles just under my bum under the glutes but the glutes themselves are still lumpy bumpy…

While I have you all here, just a probably stupid question but... I've boot camp (full on, not girly) outside on the beach in the freezing cold Irish winter three times a week. It's early so I wake up and drink a protein shake (100% whey, chocolate flavour Gold Standard) with coconut milk (not the one used for cooking, the…

This sounds like me. I've cut out all gluten/grains/wheat, potatoes, rice, pasta dairy and am basically eating paleo more or less... it has improved and doing 5/6 days of training but the scale is refusing to budge. Yes, the centimetres have gone down, but not in my stomach. It's like someone is in there puffing out my…

I've been all sizes from UK 8 to UK 22... Oddly, the threshold where men hit on me is as I approach and sit comfortably in the healthy BMI range. In the obese one I was invisible. Now I'm at the 26BMI and it's just starting to pick up and when I'm dressed up not in training gear, I get lots of attention!, I can see men…
