You can manually change your calorie intake in the Goals Tabe. Go to manually change and you can change it yourself so you don't have to rejig the numbers of exercise. I am in the same boat but I've been measuring (Jan 23, Feb 10, March 1) and I've lost 18.54inches so I'm pretty happy with that. Even with a +/- 10% error…

Thanks for the encouragement. Boy, I sure agree with you on the metabolism thing when you get older. Of course, a sedentary lifestyle and eating too many and too much of the wrong foods was the major factor but the metabolism thing is definitely a factor. I didn't lose this week (well, .1kg/.22lbs) but at least I saw a…

You'll be glad you took photos along the way when you get to your goal! You're a very lovely looking woman! Keep up the hard work!

Thanks for visiting PinkPena. To answer your questions, yes, the waist measurement is across the bellybutton. I measure in the morning on the 1st, 15th and last day of the month so every two weeks. I don't get periodsd anymore but if I did, I definitely would NOT measure before, during or just after the TOM! I'm glad I…

I'm quite sure if I looked like I'd like to look, I'd be arrested on a daily basis for public indecency for being barely dressed! Like this: http://img3.ak.crunchyroll.com/i/spire2/05082008/f/4/4/2/f4424df5da1bb0_full.jpg

Thanks guys, I really could use the encouragement and support. I've lost loads of weight before (about 60lbs about 6 times lost and gained back)... this is the first time I'm exercising too. I started with a PT and now joined a gym. My first initial assessment was rather depressing seeing how unfit I am/soon to be was but…

Strong abs and no more bingo wings! But I'm a looong way away from that. Of course, a flat stomach too, which I've never had!

I agree with everyone else's comments but I'd add a few things to it... Nutrition -I need at least 30g of fibre a day to keep regular, feel good and lose the puffiness in my gut. -Protein is important. I need to eat over 90g of protein but more than that is better. -I needed Vitamin D3 and calcium -I need at least 4litres…

Just thought I'd check in... Did my fortnightly measurements... here are the results of cm/in loss since Jan 23, 2010 Total Loss: cm: 47cm Total Loss: inches: 18.54in (since Jan 23, 2010) Yay! Though the scale seems to be stuck at 90.4kg at least the measuring tape is being my friend. For today! Home sick from work but…

I'm also committing to doing 60 lower ab lifts every day. Started today! It's where you lay on a bench (at the gym or even a bed) with your bum right at the very edge. Put your hands over your head, bent at the elbow and hold on to the edges of the bench. Start with your knees bent, feet resting on the floor. Then lift…

Did the initial test today. 40 situps and Im 41 so that's not too bad. Starting MWF (though F might be Sa or Sun some weeks) tomorrow! It told me to start on Week 3 so that's what I'm doing! Week 3 is ON! Wish me luck!! :) Hoping to get them done early early before the kids wake up!

I'm having over 100g of protein a day and I'm finding good results. Lower fat (but still have it) and most of my carbs come from veg and I'm not eating bread, rice, potatoes or pasta. Occasionally having brown rice or a flour wrap (when there's nothing else). Goodd luck with your weight loss!

You're looking fabulous! Way to go!! I can't wait until I'm noticably smaller to do pics!

2-4lbs or so. Depends on how much water I've drank and if I've had a BM or not.

Doing great here. The scale is still not my friend but I'm losing in other ways. I joined a new swank gym in a hotel and I'm really thrilled with it. I'm having my first consultation on Wednesday where she's weigh, measure me, take my fat levels, etc and discuss what I want to achieve. Obviously, fat loss, muscle gain (but…

I had really hoped I'd be out of this group (as lovely as you all seem to be! :) but I'm not so thanks for welcoming me! I got a lovely invite to this group! You're all a great motivation! Thanks!

Me, too! Lost 13lbs so far. Started at 215lbs and am now 202lbs. It's Feb 16th... Need to get down to 143 so need to get down about another 60lbs or so. (59 to be exact!) Started on Jan 10, 2010 and want to get to goal by August 14, 2010 so that's about 10lbs/month to lose to hit my goal. That's a lot to lose, but I think…

This was really valuable advice thank you! I'm going to have some job getting my GP to give me a Vit D test, though. He thinks all my ideas are harebrained and crackpot. Wait until I tell him this one! :( Well, at least I can try!

Hi there, guys! A 41yo checking in. I've been on this new lifestyle since Jan 10, 2010 and I've lost over 6kg/over 13lbs. I started at 97.7kg (215.4lbs) and am now 91.7kg (202.16lbs). I was a size 20 and now I'm an 18 (UK)... My plan is calorie counting, fibre g/day: 22, cals/day 1400, 90+g of protein, lower fat and lower…

Hi there, I'd like to join, too! Last year, in January 2009, I turned 40. I didn't want to be 'fat and forty' and I'd lost a considerable amount of weight between 2007 and 2008. By January 2009, I put a lot of it back on, but not most of it. So, now in January 2010, I've put back that and more on! Here's a little timeline:…
