I have been the inspiration to 2 friends - one smaller & one bigger than me - which has never happened to me before !

I have lost 36 + lbs since June & 3-4 dress sizes so I've had to get some new clothes , but only a few as I still want to lose another 30 ish lbs - otherwise I'd be wearing bin bags !

Grilled salmon with spicy couscous or quinoa is quick & easy . Also for snacking you can get spicey nut & seeds !

I'm 5'9.5" & the nurse at the doctors surgery put my ideal weight at 158 lbs !

Last year hubby took the leftovers to work for his work mates to have ! Hopefully he'll do the same this year if there is any left - haven't bought as much this year !

Fitted in to a size 14 pair of trousers today ( uk ) started at a size 22/24 in June !!

Good sources of protein - chicken , fish , nuts & seeds Fruit & veg Whole grain carbs Healthy snacks such as air popped popcorn , almonds & protein snack bars ! These are just a few things I've changed to !

Almonds are a good option but I also have :- Skinny or air popped popcorn Cashew nuts Ellerts roasted peanut puffs Low calorie jelly Slim a soups Nairns oat biscuits - various flavours Nairns gluten free cheese oatcakes

Our shopping trolley has got more healthy & we skip passed the pre packed convenience food aisles . I've also noticed that I am eating much more slowly & chewing each mouthful more !

Thanks for the advice everyone . I am glad to say they seem to have settled . I normally got them if I exercised ( even walking ) in the morning after breakfast & I know id had enough calories so shouldn't need food . I have started to take some nuts or gluten free oatcakes with me so I have something at hand but won't…

Like the above I add the individual ingredients unless it's from a restaurant then I'll put the nearest thing to it .

By trying to keep my carb intake to 110/ 120 gr per day , changing the type of carbs I have and moving more , I have managed to half my blood sugars from 130 to 75 in a month !!

Have you taken any other measurements apart from your weight ?? Are your clothes looser , these are also part of weight loss not just the numbers on the scales !

Your post is really interesting as I too work In a pre school setting & like you say you are on the go much of thet time . I asked this recently & got varied opinions like you have . I would increase your activity level & your calories & monitor it - if you are still losing I'd continue . I intend to do this when I return…

I have to agree with Elizabeth , I was hypnotised to lose weight about 6 years ago & while it worked for a while I don't think I was really as commited to it as I should have been ! Since you have got the group on package I'd go along - it might just kick start you into committing to logging etc again . Good luck !

I have been doing that since I joined up & it's working for me ! Obviously there are still carbs in other foods like fruit & veg but they are the good carbs . I saw my endocrinologist on Monday - told him what I was doing & he said that was brilliant & to keep going !

Ugh the dreaded TOM ! Yes I know the feeling of awful tummy cramps then VERY heavy flow !!! Over the last 2 months of being watching my weight I have noticed the flow has been an awful lot less & only lasting about 3 days instead of a week plus ! The cramps are still bad but can take tablets for them !
