Quite agree shops are bloody useless at sizing . Had this very conversation with an assistant in White company in Chichester . She was a stick insect but she said she could be one of 3 dress sizes in their own lines .... Go figure !

I second the Atkins bars & you can get lots of protein shakes , but there is also fish , seeds & nuts etc !

I was stuck at 200lbs for a couple of weeks too , it seems to be quite a common place to get stalled . Happy to say I've cracked the barrier so just persevere & you will get there !!

45 ( soon to hit 46 ugh !) & type 2 too ! Was out of control in summer but since starting on mfp I've lost 3 1/2 stone (40lbs ish) 4 dress sizes & reduced sugars from 14/15 to 5/6 ! Any one can feel free to add me for support .

As I live hundreds miles away from a lot of family members I havent told them what I've been up to - I'm looking forward to picking a few jaws up off the floor when we visit for Christmas !! My hubby , son & friends that I see are very supportive & encouraging ! I've even got 2 of them doing it along with me !!

As has been said before different things work for different people ! As for the well meaning advisors I'd just listen to what they say , nod in agreement when appropriate & continue with what worked for me !

^^^^ this . I was the same , but since being on mfp have changed to whole grains , Fruits ( 2/ day ) & veg instead of refined carbs & sugars . I haven't have a binge since ( except when I had mashed potatoes funnily enough & then I couldn't feel full or sated all evening )

I remember a guy saying I had rugby players legs !! Now they are my best feature ! I walk & swim & now they have been called skinny numerous times by numerous people .
