Welcome to the site . I have been going to McDs once a week as hubby & son like going . I have never liked the hamburgers but go for the fish or chicken burgers usually with the salad - but if I fancy the fries I will have some of hubbies , so I have had the taste so don't feel deprived .

Im 5'9 weigh 217 lbs and in a Uk size 20 ( although trousers are beginning to be loose so need a belt .

I know what you mean with nothing much happening on the scale but definatly noticing difference in clothes - so much so I am in the process of "donating " my bigger clothes to charity !!! Even my husband has noticed ( in less than a month )

That's great !! I had toput a belt on my pants ( uk size 20) yesterday as they started to fall down whilst I was carrying something - fortunately I was at home or it could've been rather embarrassing !!!! Also I have " donated" my bigger clothes to charity .

Have you not got a market in the town you are in as you can get fruit & veg really cheaply ! Also is ther an Aldi or Lidl locally .

If I don't have a taste of what I want I will eat everything else in sight , be so stuffed it hurts , but because I haven't had that food I will still want that as well !!! So it works for me but we are all different so what works for me might be the kiss of death to someone else .

I used to go by the " good & bad " foods but now agree there is no such thing . If I crave something I allow myself to have a small bit of whatever it is so I have had the taste so don't feel deprived !

I know what you mean needing the help & support , reading other people's post have been really helpful . I have been using mfp for 3 weeks now & have noticed a real difference - maybe not so much on the scale but definitely in body shape ( especially around the tum - which is normally the last to go as its my worst area )…

I agree with having a small amount of what you crave on hand . I find that if I crave something I can have every thing else but that and still not be happy . So now I have a little of whatever it is I want and the craving goes - without me having hundreds of extra calories .
