I have very narrow heels at the Asics Kayanos just didn't work for me. I went to a running store and got Brooks Beast and New Balance. There is a way to lace your shoes that keeps the heel snug bug using the lower bottom hole. They showed me at the running store. It is a bit hard to descibe. Try Google "how to tie running…

at 1 pound per week = 25 - 30 weeks. It might take longer since you are small to start. You might see it faster at the start. I lost 35 at one point. 20 pounds in < 10 weeks, then it took like 25 weeks to lose the last 15 pounds

If you dont' want to use chalk, which I recommend, how about a rosin bag? You know the kind baseball players use. Warm up and all sets with double overhand as much as possible, rosin or chalk If you can't make that weight with double overhand use mixed grip Hook grip if you can man it up, but I don't do this because of…

There are some seriously great transformations here. Thanks to those who shared! This is some great inspiration.

In my opinion you went way too far with the weight loss, to the point you looked anorexic. You look much better now, but keep lifting heavy you need to gain some more weight.

Mine only says 24 days now, but I have used the app without fail on my phone everyday since Aug 2013. I guess it didn't sync one day for one reason or another while traveling.

I feel the most full if I've eaten some fat. Carbs do nothing for me, but make me hungrier. Protein helps for me, but not like a little fat. So a little guacamole or peanut butter or some nuts make me full . Also, once you get used to eating less it will be a lot easier to actually eat less and not feel hungry.

Good job, very impressive!

Your squat is better than the photo and not that bad. You absolutely do not want elbows vertical and bent wrists. Wrists straight, elbows up. Don't look in the mirror. Keep a neutral head position the whole way. Depth is good. The last few reps the hip rose faster than the chest. Take a deep breath at the top and use the…

I have a Tanita BF scale. It works pretty simple, but there are some inaccuracies and you have to know how to use it. 1). Weight every time in the exact same conditions. Ideally fully hydrated before last meal of day. 2). Get a different test occasionally to compare results e.g. skin calipers by professional The Tanita I…

Very impressive, good job!

I going with the assumptions that 1). You are a novice in strength training 2). You are still either maintaining or cutting With that in mind, novices can gain some muscle and definitely strength will on a mild calorie reduction diet. I would do Starting Strength or Stronglifts 3 days a week as outlined by those programs…

I used to get this problem during soccer. I'm always worried about rolling my ankle so I put them on extremely tight. This can cause the issue. Also have your shoes checked to make sure they fit correctly. I prefer lots of room in the toes and use running shoes with a wide toe box. It could be your toes are too close to…

Tip Run at your pace and have fun I ran a 5K a couple of years ago. One and only, too busy coaching sports etc. One of my friends needed some support so I agreed to go with him. Two mistakes I made 1). Over hydrated, it was in the 90s so I drank alot of water. I sprinted across the finish line straight to the bathroom 2).…

As mentioned before, if you enter all the weight, age, height etc, the estimates should be close from the machines, heart monitor, and MFP. Also, make sure you have your heart rate up 60% or greater. Mine are all within 10% of each other. MPF, Polar FT-7, and cardio machines.

If you read enough threads and success stories, and creep some profiles you will get all the answers you need.

After StrongLifts or SS many people first go to the Madcow Intermediate program. It is hosted on the StrongLifts site now. http://stronglifts.com/madcow/ http://stronglifts.com/madcow-5x5-training-programs/

Impressive in both losing it and the maintenance. Thanks for sharing!

Eating out won't make or break your diet if you can control quantity and quality while eating out. Log it all and try to eat foods that are nutritionally dense. I eat out every day and lost between 30 and 40 pounds. I'm actually bulking now. I can find something that fits my calories almost everywhere that is decent…

Likes Open 24 hours Locations all over the US Pool Basketball court Large assortment of free weights Low cost, I bought a lifetime membership that is $100 per year about 10 years ago. They don't offer it anymore, but I'm set Dislikes Messy people, leave weights and their crap every where only 1 power cage, usually I have…

Small waist with out line of abs so 2 pack or flat. 6 pack is probably too much. I like girls overall who workout and have some definition e.g. athletic body type

At your age, weight, etc it will work if you following starting strength protocol. After your linear progression end, you will be strong and can go on a cut.
-
I'm a similar build to you 6'1" 196. I spun my wheels many years not getting stronger and not losing fat until I went to bulking and cutting phases. Pick one and do it. Eat at maintenance for a week to two weeks then transition to the other. I used two methodologies to get over the hump on bulking 1). Starting Strength…

I agree do this

I've always marked myself as sedentary, then add in all exercise. Seems simple to me that way. This errors on the conservative side Cardio workout track it Mow the yard track it Bike to work, track it Play a sport, track it Weight lifting, I don't track, probably only adds < 100 calories in my workout Playing with kids,…

Could be your are eating better and your diet is helping the hair. When you get all the proper nutrients our body likes it. I have also seen claims that your body hormones behave better when you are at a healthy weight. I don't know if this is true or not.

IF you are really at that body fat percentage, I say bulk. You are very light. Don't go crazy, do a smart strength training routine such as Starting Strength, HST, Wendler 5-3-1 big but boring. Make sure you start very light and use compound movements with linear progression. Find your maintenance calories and eat maybe…

Some good advice so far (if you post some stats e.g. Age, weight, gender, current fitness level it could help with advice) 1). Go to a running store and have them examine your stride. They will fit the proper shoe for any issues you might have. Sounds like you might need stability shoes, but hard to tell from the internet.…

If you wear a chest strap at the correct tightness and maybe wet it a bit first, it will read very accurately your heart rate . The wrist ones are much less accurate. For low cost heart rate monitors the Polar FT-4 and FT-7 will fit the bill. If you want something more complicated it will cost more such as integration with…

In the diagram notice the line which is the bar path. The bar will be over the middle of the foot straight up and down. Notice the depth. You can't tell by this diagram, heels basically shoulder width appart, feet about 30 % turned out. Your knees will track the path of the toes. It will feel like you are shoving them out…
