I wanted to say that I enjoyed this post. I find it hard to do cardio over lifting; it's so repetitive that it's boring to me. I know that there are some things that you can do to change that, but if I just do strength training with a little cardio in between that works for me. I like how strength training makes me feel,…

That is a great tip, thank you. It is frustrating to get sidelined. I have dealt with weight problems forever, and I finally get the motivation to fix it, then break my foot. lol....life is great. I can focus on healing, and just not overeat. And the add stress of where my money is coming from because I am the only…

They told me to not worry about the weightloss right now. I am just concerned about not gaining what I have lost back.

I don't know why I didn't think about that. Thank you for the tip.

I did note that I need to lose 97 pounds. Based on what you said I have to consume 4200 calories a day, about. That doesn't seem accurate. I have been consuming more protein, fiber, and calcium to aid in my healing. But there is no way I can eat that many calories. I am eating about 1800 which I think is enough since I was…

I have done Tae Bo as well and it is a great workout, and the best part is that there is some strength training also incorporated in it. Great workout!

Nothing is going to be completely unprocessed like that unless you grow the food that feeds your animals and you butcher them, and only then. You know how things are manufactured, even chicken farms look like a factory anymore, not a farm. If people actually knew what happens to their processed food they might stop eating…

I can relate. I am 27, 284 pounds and 5 foot 10. I went to the doctor who was obviously worried about my weight. I would say that I used to average about 2800 to 3000 calories a day (WOW, I know). I didn't really think about it I guess. Long story short, she said that if I stick to a 1500 calorie diet I would lose weight…

Eat to live, Don't live to eat!!!

Mine is "Don't live to eat, eat to live." It helps when I have late night cravings, and keep me focused on my goals. Reminding me that food is not there becuase I am bored, but to give me nutrients that I need. It also helps me when I work out to keep a "you gotta give something to get something", I like that and it's true.

I do not care much for cardio either. I think I'd rather do twice as much strength training than cardio. It just seems boring to me. I have a lot of weight to lose, and you are right it is all a numbers game. My doctor even told me that. With the way she told me to eat I will lose 3.5 pounds a week without trying. I do…
