Sidesteel is a wealth of nutritional info. I also follow adam bornstein, find him on twitter @bornfitness. Alan Aragon is another, no BS guy that is super knowledgeable, also Martin Rooney, can't remember his twitter handle, but he also has a good blog called Training For Warriors that is great. Just a few people that I go…

I learned the hard way about road vs treadmill. Started running on the treadmill, got up to running 4 miles. Entered my first 5k, and couldn't run the entire race. So I started running outside. It makes a world of difference. I have a friend who is a trainer and he said to best simulate outdoors running on a treadmill is…

I usually cook it in a 2-1 ratio with water and a pinch of salt. I like it with pintos. Goes really well with them.

I love beef, and I would eat the grass fed variety, its healthier. It contains Omega 3s. Has a better taste to it, the only place near me that sells it is Whole Foods and they only let me in the door during tax return time and they know I have money. I like rare sirloins. In fact I like my meat so rare, I eat unicorn meat.

Its like the contestants are in rehab. My biggest issue with the show is that they don't really teach people how to survive in a real life situation. I watch the show, but i take it FWIW, entertainment. And to be honest, some of their weights were not that far off the finale weight, in my opinion, they are trying to get a…

I do cardio early, around 4:00am, if its a long run, i.e. 3+ miles, I will usually eat a single serving cup of applesauce... for the simple carbs. I found that if I did the long runs on an empty stomach, I would get really woozy and almost pass out..

Your life will suck for a few years, in fact a decade, but it gets better I promise. The light at the end of the tunnel is much brighter than the darkness you will go through. Just because you get injured and can't play college football doesn't mean you have to curl up into a depression for 10 years. Get clearance from the…

At work. 7p-7a. Plus I don't go out on Saturday nights due to a few statute of limitations that have yet to expire... Don't want to meet up with this guy. So I'm sitting here at work looking up Michael Bolton videos on youtube

Honestly there isn't anything that I'm forced to give up, if I want it I eat it, i just make sure I have it in my calorie allotment to eat that day, or I'll ask myself, "self, did you really bust your tail in the gym this morning to eat that donut?" So yeah, bacon it is!

I usually dice up a small red bell pepper, add egg, salt and pepper, minced garlic and a 4 oz container of feta cheese. I also will usually do 1 pound 97% turkey and 1 pound 97% lean ground beef.. I usually eat this with baked sweet potato fries, so good.
