I am now able to jog 3 miles and never thought I would be able to run, but I am able to do it because of the weight I have lost. I workout 6 days/week, and do weight training with light weights. i try not to eat more that 1500-1700…

I lost 10lbs while doing insanity. It got me in great shape and now I am able to workout 6 days a week and I can push myself hard through intense workouts. In the past 8 months I have lost 45 lbs, carefully counting calories and doing workout videos such as insanity. I think if you enjoy a workout and can perform it…

Hello, I am 52 and also in menopause. My gynecologist told me that it is difficult for women my age to lose weight. However, with myfitnesspal and a change in diet and exercise I have proven her wrong. I have lost 16 lbs so far. I changed to a vegan diet, primarily for my health and elevated cholesterol levels. I feel…

It works but you need to log in everyday and being honest is the most important aspect. I have lost 15 lbs so far and have had more success with this program than anything else I have tried. Plus it's free!:flowerforyou:

I am sorry to hear that people have been rude and inappropriate to you. The problem is really with them. I once read that the last "unfortunately" acceptable prejudice is towards heavy people. I have experienced prejudice and rude remarks myself about my weight. We hear the media often making fun of celebrities who have…

A lot of folks are debilitated or die from heart disease and strokes, which many times are preventable through diet, exercise,…

My fitness pal is a wonderful tool. I started about 2 1/2 weeks ago and have already lost 6 lbs. If you do this honestly and faithfully you will hold yourself totally accountable for what you eat and exercise. The more exercise you do the more calories you can have. It's working for me so far. I usually have a very…

I love to drink smoothies for breakfast. You can create so many different varieties so they never get boring. Adding fruit and even veggies they can be incredibly nutritious. Plus you can add other healthy ingredients such as flax or chai seeds or supplemental powder. I always feel satisfied after drinking one.
