The mini bells are good too. Yellow, red, orange in bag. I dip them in a tiny bit of low or non fat italian dressing to give it that extra something.

Love this response. It is all about incorporation into overall diet plan.

Oh my gosh. I love that you critically evaluated this article rather than taking it at face value. Not enough people do this. Thanks for the more in depth data.

I appreciate you stating that you weaned off. Don't wanna give anybody ideas of stopping cold turkey- NOT a good idea. (I am a pharmacist)

I'm a nerdy pharmacist and read a lot of drug articles. As with most drugs, adverse effects are different for everyone. Every BODY is different, which is why there are so many drugs in each class. Anyway, this is from an SSRI study: Prim Care Companion J Clin Psychiatry. 2001 February; 3(1): 22–27. PMCID: PMC181155 SSRI…

Exactly my plan too. Turkey day is all about food and family. Back to the daily routine on Friday.

Nope. Just need the free membership for syncs. I log EVERYTHING on MFP and it links it over to my FitBit account. And FitBit automatically tells MFP exercise calories for auto calorie adjustment. So EASY. LOVE it. Great visual MOTIVATION.

Bought mine from REI just in case I didn't like it cuz they have a ONE YEAR return policy. Just an FYI.

Good choice. I LOVE mine.

I am buying too much too, knowing I will change sizes again. I can't help it!

I have always liked trendy styles but found myself buying them for my sister or my niece since they are the perfect size to wear the clothes I like. I have found that I have actually been buying for myself now. My old standard was a very loose XL mens graphic T-shirt with a colored cardigan. Now I am comfortable wearing…

After 3 days or so, you certainly stop feeling normal. However, loss of appetite is not a common side effect of thyroid medications. (I assume you are taking Levothyroxine?) And yes, I was going to mention Fe+ as well, just wasn't sure how much protein you eat. You probably know this already, but just reiterating the…

I am a doctor AND I had hyperthyroidism, then had my thyroid destroyed, and now have hypothyroidism that is controlled by daily medication. Please do NOT think thyroid at this point. There are sooooo many other combined symptoms that come together when thinking hyper or hypo thyroid. Hypothyroid common symptoms include:…

I agree. I LOVE my Fitbit Flex. However,if you do stairs a lot, it will not count these. In this case, you would want the Fitbit One instead.

I would recommend using a heart rate monitor to get a more accurate reading of calories burned. I use a polar FT7 with a chest strap for my workouts.(I think it was about $110, including chest strap, at REI.) I also use a Fitbit Flex and love it. I log my exercise calories burned from my HRM into My Fitness Pal and the…

FYI....interesting fact - Alli (generic name orlistat) has been around since the late 90's. It's brand name was Xenical 120mg. It went over-the-counter at half the dose many years later. And yes, many people did not use it for long due to the oily seepage side effect. Gross!

It is funny. I don't have a thyroid either after having Grave's Disease. Too many people go to their physicians hoping to be able to attribute their weight issues to a thyroid condition, when it is really just lifestyle changes that need to be made.

My thoughts exactly. :)

I noticed the same thing with my FT7. I ended up calculating my own fat zone burn to be higher than what the monitor was telling me. The monitor wants me to stay below 128. There is no way. So I went to a website (can't remember exact site) that showed me how to manually calculate based on some additional factors and now…

My favorite machine is the elliptical. I love having it right in my own home. As for what to start out with. Every person is different and whatever gets you moving and motivated to work out is the way to go. The hardest part for me was just finding something I actually liked doing everyday. Eventually I will broaden what I…
