thanks everyone! my body type holds the last bits of fat in my stomach and inner thighs, and so even though i look small everywhere else, those two places i can still grab a handful of flesh (from each spot), if you can actually believe it! i'm not exaggerating either. i know they're a combo of loose skin and fat, but i…

i love berries (any kind you like), and it's even better because they're low in calories and sugar. a bowl of berries with some low-fat or non-fat creamer poured on top and some stevia is sooo good!

damn! i went from a BMI higher than 99% of the global population of females in my age range (really?!?!?!?!) to a BMI lower than 64% of the global population females in my age range, and lower than 89% of females in my age range in my country (U.S.). all i can say is wow. i'm truly shocked.

^^^ this lol. OP i have gotten this more than a few times and i just want to tell them that my clothes hide the fat i still have that i'm still trying to lose. i tell them i'm not going to go to an unhealthy weight, and i'm still at a healthy weight now. it's frustrating when they say things like "you'll blow away! you'll…

i have had/sorta still have ED issues (mostly binge eating and bulimia with purging and over-exercising) for about 8 years now. also, as usually goes along with these things, i'm pretty sure i have some body dysmorphia issues. so i know your struggle. i think you look absolutely fine right now, you are definitely not fat.…

i don't have a set goal exactly, but number-wise it would be nice to get to 110, which is 9 lbs away. however, it more depends on how i feel i look at a certain weight. my belly still has what i assume is about 5 - 10 lbs of fat on it so i'm hoping losing that weight will reduce some of the fat there... i also do strength…

i'm 24, have about 10 lbs to lose as well. i'm 5' 4", highest weight was 192 when i was 15. i lost 55 lbs then over the course of 5 years gained 35 of those back... since september 2013 when i joined MFP and gave my diet a real overhaul (i was always exercising a lot, just not keeping track of my calories well) i've lost…

olives, cucumber, cherry/grape tomatoes, artichoke hearts, red onion, tangerine/mandarin slices, peppercini, beets, broccoli... yes, all of those at once, lol... and if i have the calorie allowance for it, dried cranberries and sunflower seeds or chopped walnuts! spring mix is always better than chopped romaine, in my…

same about jealousy (and the "jerk" comment, lol! sometimes i really do feel like yelling that in his face when he's scooping about 1/4 - 1/3c of peanut butter into a bowl w/ a big banana). he is tall and thin and it's very hard for him to gain weight too. it's soo hard sometimes when he just eats a big bar of our favorite…

pretty much agree with this. muscle will maybe "draw in" some of the area so it is kinda toned, but it won't get rid of the fat. kind of like the way your stomach sticks out when you have bad posture but looks flatter when you stand straight. and OP i have the same frustrating problem, i'm down to a quite healthy weight,…

had depression and anxiety for over 11 years now, though it's gone up and down in its intensity. additionally, i have some body dysmorphia issues, as well as binge eating and had a period where i was bulimic, which i still struggle with occasionally. it's awful, isn't it >.<

just my two cents for non-meat, non-dairy sources. There are some high-protein plants out there. Beans (don't forget peas and green beans in there too), edamame, spinach, sprouts, artichoke, broccoli, kale, mushrooms, asparagus and corn are some that come to mind. Also, though high in calorie, nuts - especially almonds and…

around 2700, which is 1,100 over my maintenance according to MFP. but i did do a run that burned about 325 cals.

Polar FT4 as well. Been using it since June and I've found it to help a LOT in getting more accurate calorie burn (rather than relying on gym machines, or god forbid, MFP's estimates. lol) and helping me lose.
-
I've eaten about 700 calories over my maintenance for today and will still probably have another 300ish calories. It sorta sucks, but I knew it was coming before I started eating today. I had given myself permission and knew the consequences, fully aware that it wouldn't make me gain back the 73 lbs I've lost so far. I…

Realizing I was way underestimating the calories I was eating. I don't know if I was in denial or simply not realizing that my portions were too big. Also, changing to a vegan diet -- I think I was eating too much cheese, and that definitely packs on the calories. Eating mostly vegetables has been the biggest change,…

You should keep your caloric intake at the very minimum that is recommended, which is usually around 1200. Try to eat calorie-dense foods like nuts, avocado, or nut butter, which may not make you feel as full but give you enough calories? A meal replacement shake or protein bar is a feasible option too, if they don't make…

for some people making some of these fit means having the one salad for the whole day!
-
Would you be able to explain this a bit more to me? Does that mean that, even if mathematically speaking you burn X amount of calories at a certain weight, the calorie burn becomes less because your body gets used to that activity? How does that make sense, when perceived exertion apparently has little or no effect on…

anyone else immediately hear Lucy from the Vitameatavegimin episode?? :P

maybe i'll give those exercises a try!

I've lost 48 lbs and have gone down about 8 dress sizes. So, for me, that averages 6 lbs/dress size.
-
my breasts lost the most inches, more than my waist or hips. it sucks! i had a B-cup to start with when I was 48 lbs heavier than I am now, so my breasts are most likely A-cups now (i actually don't know since i stopped wearing bras). bah!

i've been vegan since sept 2013 :)

well i don't believe that you're actually burning 200 calories in 10 minutes by slowly running and cycling. so if i correctly understood that part i would say you may not be at the calorie deficit you need to lose weight. but yes, also, water retention is almost always the reason for weight fluctuations like that.
-
almond milk is great, it's not too thick like some soy milk tends to be. and yes the lower calories (for the unsweetened kind - 30 cal/cup) is a big plus!
-
as far as loose skin goes -- i've lost 72 lbs since my highest weight and i unfortunately have a lot (in my opinion) of loose skin. to the point that i have hang on my belly. i'm sure there is fat in there still but i know the majority of it is skin based on how it folds, wrinkles and hangs when i am in different…

oh trust me it is worth it. you need to have faith in the process and remember that EVERY LITTLE THING adds up to increase your progress. i've had so many days where i was afraid of silly ridiculous things like thinking my weight would go down but i'd look the same. or i'd do everything right but my body would just be an…
