Me! I'll admit to being disappointed by Matt Smith's finale, though. Am I the only one who thought the whole thing made absolutely no sense? Especially after the AMAZING 50th!

I'm 21. Started off with 100 pounds to lose, and have about 60 more to go. My diary is open if you ever want ideas. Feel free to add me! :)

Sure, you can. Just be sure you're ok with eating less tomorrow. It's fine to average things out over the course of a week. My personal favorite is to work out harder than usual one day a week, and then log that exercise on previous days when I had gone over. This way, my weekly deficit averages out, and I don't have any…

I just followed this recipe, except instead of vanilla, I used a packet of hot cocoa mix (with marshmallows). Made an AWESOME frozen hot chocolate. Not sure about the calorie count, but it's amazingly delicious.

I've struggled with the same question. In the end, I feel like it ought to be less about fat acceptance, and more about body acceptance, regardless of shape and size. I feel that no one should be made to feel like less of a person because of their appearance. Being obese my entire life, I have certainly had this…

Good to know. I was feeling like a frustrated athletic failure. I just prefer to do things at my own pace. Being able to listen to my own music and not pay attention to anyone else is a bonus, too.

:drinker: Already pre-logged my celebratory smirnoff!

I need to get a skinnier pic with the TARDIS. On one hand, I don't want to display the picture everywhere because I was so heavy. On the other hand, it's a TARDIS. Weight loss problems lol.

Haha... if it makes you feel any better, they're actually pretty deflated. I just have some REALLY awesome bras to keep them up lol. We'll see how my boobs fare after another 60 pounds lol. I've been overweight for my entire life (long before puberty), so I have no idea how my body will proportion itself lol. So far, so…

You were brave enough to count the calories you were inhaling? You're braver than me. I haven't logged for most of December, and I REALLY went overboard for the few days around Christmas. When last I weighed myself a few days before Christmas, I was 204. After, I hit 209! Next morning I was 207, then 204, and I hit 203…

I'm 20 pounds lighter than this time last year, and 35 pounds lighter than I was in August of this year (I gained weight between January and August, and then joined MFP). This time last year, I was experiencing awful backaches and fatigue as a result of my weight, at the ripe old age of 20. Now 21, I ran my first 5k on…

Does she know this is how you feel about it? And is is possible that she's telling you to stop not because she doesn't think you can do it, but because she likes the way you look now? My boyfriend does the same thing sometimes... makes pretty innocent jokes about my jiggly bits, and it does hurt my feelings. But it doesn't…

Do you have an Android phone? I've downloaded the Sleep as Android app, and it has been awesome! It uses the accelerometer in your phone to to sense your sleep movements, and subsequently your sleep cycle. You set your alarm and give it a time window (I set 30 minutes) prior to your alarm time in which it can wake you up.…

The way I see it, I can have body image issues and be healthy... Or I can have body image issues, type 2 diabetes, not be able to ride roller coasters, and not be able to stay on my feet very long. I'll gladly take the former.

Lemmings don't weigh very much.
-
Actually, science has disproven that lemmings act in the way you are accusing.
-
Buuuut it works when you provide googled editorials? Riiiight.
-
So we have a clear admission here the OP does not believe science works. Case closed.

I had a friend growing up who ate and ate and ate, and drank nothing but Mountain Dew, and never exercised, and was always crazy skinny. She now weighs 220 pounds. She is a CNA. That kind life catches up with you. Meanwhile, I have ALWAYS been overweight. I've tried losing weight many times before. I consistently tried to…

Portion control, mostly. I don't log when I visit my grandma. I have NO way to guess how many calories are in her food. I just try and make informed decisions... fill my plate with more salad than meatloaf, and stop when I'm full. Also, I bring my workout gear and go for a run if there's time.

You will be my friend now.

Well, I'm flattered that my profile pic doesn't show my weight, but my goal weight is 140, which is still towards the upper end of my healthy range (between 110 and 150). My starting weight was 240, and now I'm between 217-18. So unfortunately, I do still have PLENTY to lose. I have also been doing some intermittent…

Instead of eating high-calorie unhealthy foods, try eating calorie-dense healthy foods! Like nuts! I would loooovvveee to be able to have some trail mix, but I usually can't in good conscience fit it into my limits. Are you getting some kind of counseling? It might be helpful in the long run, if you're worried about your…

I'm also a full-time student, but I have myself set to sedentary, and just log my workouts. You could always try lightly active, and if you're not getting the results you want, go to sedentary. Or vice versa, you could try sedentary, and if you feel it's too restrictive, bump yourself to lightly active. It's all about…

This. I like you. You're my new best friend. For the record, his suggestions included cream of spinach soup and stuffed chicken. I think cream-of-anything tends to be unnecessarily fatty and high in calories... and the stuffing inside the chicken consisted largely of stuff that I would have previously enjoyed very much,…

My own willpower, stress, planning ability, and time-management deficits, I believe.

I'm a medium-statured female with a sedentary lifestyle, so I just don't require that many to start with. And I'm trying to lose 2lbs/week. I do eat back my exercise calories, though, so depending on how good of a workout I had on any given day, my gross calories may be closer to 1800 (using the calorie number on the…

This. I appreciate this. Thank you. I was really just looking for ways to reach a compromise, and I think maybe I'll find the recipes, and get him to make them. I feel like it's overarching to believe that he's manipulative, controlling, insecure, etc. because he got a little uppity about dinner. To be fair, I often make…

Me neither. Maybe your body just doesn't need that many calories. My net goal is 1240, and I'm usually pretty good. It's hard on some days when I don't exercise (thus don't have any wiggle room), but by and large, after a short period of adjustment, I'm totally alright. I also feel a little weird when MFP posters go on…

After a second hashing it out with him, it appears that it was less a matter of what we were having for dinner, and more a matter of me being dismissive of something important to him. He DOES value food a lot. He thought about going to school for culinary, and still considers changing his major from time to time. Most…
