Congratulations on the first 25 pounds! I've gone from 250ish to 140ish, 28, and definitely have enough loose skin that I'll either need to get surgery or learn to live with it. It's not all going to go away. I lost slowly (over a year and a half) and hydrated and moisturized... But it is what it is. I would rather have…

Pasta is totally worth it. Peanuts are not. Butter/oil for frying usually isn't.
-
Wow! In only a month? You're rocking it!

Honestly, I don't think it does, and that's okay. I'm a little over 100 lbs lost right now, with mayyybe 15 more to go (I'm at a "healthy" BMI now and I'm just playing around with weight for vanity purposes at this point) and I've realized I need to treat my obesity like the chronic health condition it is. If I don't…

Thanks! Yeah, my bmi is currently 26 and my abs are absolutely nowhere to be found. 😂
-
Yeah, I definitely don't want to bulk and cut. Yo-yo mentality is part of what made me so large in the first place. I 100% need something that is sustainable and moderate.

I have been doing some fairly light strength training along with heavy cardio. At this point, I'm losing maybe .5-.75 pounds/week. Starting last October 9th, I've broken my weight loss down into three six-month phases. 50 pounds in the first 6, 30 pounds in the second 6, and 20 in the final 6 minths, ending in March. I've…

Ugh, I feel you. Except I'm not even close. I still have 32 pounds to go. But after 8 months and 68 pounds, I'm starting to lose steam.
-
Huh. I hadn't thought about that. I noticed that it's been harder to walk in heels than it used to be... but I guess I thought I was just out of practice? But if my weight is the problem, I'm definitely looking forward to my kickass shoes again.

This.

Hi! First pregnancy here, about 6 weeks along (as of tomorrow)! I've currently got a BMI of 39.1, which is just not healthy in any way. I physically feel terrible (more from the weight than the pregnancy, I think). I need to get my body back under control and reset healthy habits in this first trimester before a bump…

Definitely up and down. I'll have two weeks of no loss, followed by a four pound "woosh." Looking at my long term weight chart helps me get through the fluctuations.

They make a tasty snack when I'm too lazy to eat solid food lol.
-
I just bought a bunch of Slimfast Advanced Nutrition shakes to get me through my tooth extraction. Kept me pretty full and kept my calories at a decent level. Also, as long as you open up the app, it'll still count it as a day logged.
-
Only when I'm way under my protein goal or too lazy to cook.
-
Holy cow! Lookin' good!

I'm 23. My original goal was 100 pounds. Down 32 pounds from heaviest weight (was 50, but then I got a stressful job and slipped for a year and a half or so). Anyway, started off at 240 and am currently at 208. :)

F that noise.

I LOVE my Charge HR. The HRM makes it so easy to pace myself, and also to see how different activities are actually affecting my effort. As far as I understand, the flex is basically a glorified pedometer.
-
I wore my fitbit Charge HR during sex once for *kitten* and giggles. I didn't do much work that time, so it only came to 32 calories lol. I'll have to try again on a day with more effort. XD
-
My Charge HR is life. It also showed me that on most days, I was undereating by quite a bit. I've felt much stronger and more motivated since I got mine, and I know now that I'm getting enough calories for adequate energy.

My periods are killer, sometimes debilitating. If I feel like I can't get out of bed, then I don't. I'll just eat less to maintain my deficit. If it's not as bad, I'll usually do the recumbent bike. I can sit down so my back doesn't hurt as bad. All things considered, a couple of missed workouts a month won't undo all my…

Yes, your body definitely gets used to it. Eating back exercise calories helps, to make sure you're not undereating (to prevent being hungry, not starvation mode). For me, the biggest factor is being full is hitting my macro ratio. For me, fat and protein are very satiating, while carbs really aren't. Your body may be…

I'm in love with cottage cheese.

When I was still in school (also a commuter), I would stuff my bag with fruits and veggies to snack on. They would keep me full and energized until dinner, and didn't take up too many calories. :)
-
Runkeeper, because it syncs calories from my runs. Also, because it tells me exactly how far and fast I've run. Only use it for outdoor runs, though, since a treadmill will tell me the same thing for indoor runs.
-
Yes! This exactly!

I appreciate hearing your experience! Thank you for being willing to share. :)

I eat back my exercise calories. Worked pretty well for me so far. :) My Fitness Pal works in a deficit without any exercise, so when you burn extra calories, they should be consumed back so you're getting enough energy to keep your body working and feeling well! Still getting the cardio/muscle building benefits of…

I love the Healthy Choice meals. I'm super busy student teaching, and often don't have time to make myself real food. They're helpful in the way that any low-calorie food is helpful--only if you still keep a calorie deficit. There is nothing magical in and of themselves, but they are quick and tasty (as far as frozen meals…
