Great. Check in each Monday and see how we are all going.

Agree with Chicken Tikka (not tikka masala). As long as it is dry with no sauce you should be fine... That said we still need to enjoy ourselves and not become miserable when it comes to food. If it is only a rare treat, go for it. Still record it, but don't worry if you go over.

OZ here too. Best of luck...you can do it

Not sure about America but in Australia we have a group of websites called freecycle. People put up stuff they no longer want for free collection and in turn people also put up requests for stuff. I got a boxing set up for $0. Also google DIY suspension trainer. A couple of bucks in rope and you have a great work out…

Swimming! Fantastic workout, you can vary it by adding swim fins and a kick board for a great leg work out, or stick a pull buoy between your knees or ankles and you have got yourself a tough upper body workout. At the same time you are giving your yourself a great cardio workout. Other options might include medicine ball…

As everyone says, body weight exercises, exercise DVDs, yoga, you can even build a DIY a suspension trainer. Check out http://fitdeck.com/ for a deck of cards with specific exercises. These are a good way to keep your exercises varied and keep those muscles confused. They are available in loads of different…

From Australia here and there is a local series of cookbooks called the "CSIRO total wellbeing diet" It is fantastic. Comes with eating plan (believe me you never go hungry), recipes and shopping lists. Well worth it, and I just checked and there are a few going on ebay for under $10.

If you like the stationary bike I suggest you look into spin classes (also known as RPM, Cycle etc). I usually crack 600 cals in a 45 minute ride. I am sure if you hunt long and hard enough you can find downloads (both audio and visual) of RPM classes. RPM especially has been around and researched long and hard and offers…

I exercised on a regular basis for 3 years. Gym classes etc. I didn't lose a thing (in fact I probably put on weight). WHY? Because I ate what I wanted. I didn't eat bad food. All meals were healthy home cooked meals, I just wasn't watching my intake. Since watching what goes in my mouth (about 2.5 months now) I have lost…

My Kids got me playing Just Dance 2 last night. Not only was I getting a good workout but I was laughing so hard. Good fun

Addman... It is like HIIT http://www.tabataprotocol.com/ probably describes it best. They mention fat burning, but the real difference I see is in Cardio training. I found it as the exercise to bring you to the point of being sick...and yet I am addicted to it. WTF?

I throw Tabata in after a light run - weight routine. I do Tabata on a spin bike and it is a killer. I do spin classes a few times a week (and have done for 4 years now), and regardless of how hard I push my heart rate wont reach the max. In the Tabata I am over the max in the first 20 second work. Maybe it is mental but I…

Sadly I have to pull the plug on C25K. The bones in my feet (apparently I need an operation but have been avoiding it), can't handle running for any length of time. I thought I would be able to get through it but the foot pain for the days after is too much. Hope you all see it to the end and continue to enjoy your running.

Another vote for Polar here too.

Leggings are fine provided they are covered with a dress, large shirt etc but jeggins? WTF? Wear tight jeans, don't try and pretend. Not a fan of shoe, heels, or boots that are worn or scuffed but the top no nos are smoking and too much make-up
