After watching this gif several times, I realized that prior to being hit, his head moves... the camera angle and change doesn't give it away. I can't believe I wasted time posting this.

Congratulations! Nice work!

I've been waiting a long time for my mothership to pick me up off this planet where I do fit.

I have done several sprints and one olympic. I love them, especially sprints because the switching between activities keeps you motivated and prevents from getting bored. Also, swimming in open water is fun stuff. I would highly recommend doing a Summer version or Fall version first off. The Spring versions have very cold…

It is bothersome when females are misogynistic body haters. I know what you mean though.

I think one lesson I've learned is "fun" from two weeks ago shows up on the scale today. It isn't a tit for tat exchange so the hard work you put in this week will eventually show up if you continue with it. Also, for me, water is a huge ordeal as I age. This can be a five pound difference from week to week, especially…

I would say for those times when the budget doesn't work out, I add a salad. I eat about 80 grams of protein a day which helps me feel satisfied. I also save my cals for dinner. A very typical dinner is an 8" multi grain thin pizza crust spread with buffalo sauce and chicken breast with a sprinkle of cheddar, broccoli with…

Note: she also blamed the weight gain on my age which I call B.S. too. I will be 40 on Sunday. I maintained 145 for several years and a lot of it muscle. I have a good amount of muscle under my fat layers. In addition, track your cholesterol, BP, sugars, and other health indicators.

I was diagnosed in April and have been struggling with the same thing. It is extremely frustrating. I am on a 24 day challenge (10 cleanse, 14 day rebuild) right now which helps tremendously with water weight. Hypo causes a lot of water retention so increasing my fiber intake has helped tremendously as well. However, I…

I love it!

Congrats!

I am not a fan of the potato chip. I like the pringle but not regular chips. Now tortilla chips dipped in guac or salsa is another story altogether.

10 I like a good headband.

I am replying to this at work because this neverending afternoon is about to do me in when all I want to do is bicycle and play.

Martin Berkhan has a ton of information on macros and carb loading with working out in relationship to intermittent fasting. http://www.leangains.com/ There is a macronutrient calculator here to define carbs. You need more carbs on workout days but you can check Berkhan's recommendations on macros.…

FREAKING AWESOME! Fantastic commitment to your health, consistency, and determination!

Agreed! I drink psyllium husk every evening about two hours before bed, after dinner. This helps me feel satisfied.

Not sure who the food bank quote is from but seriously... you need to volunteer at a food bank. I have worked very closely with very hard working families and their accessibility to food has nothing to do with personal accountability or self sufficiency. They have a child with a chronic illness or they are ill themselves.…

Where are you shopping? Our local grocery store does not have items that cheap except maybe Fareway but they are far and few between. Our milk is $4 a gallon. I remember when prices used to be that cheap. You are right though. With effort and critical thinking, this works. I also like your price break down. Math. It's neat.

Agreed. In DSM. We have a Mighty Kids Meal with a McDouble and a small fries. The Happy Meal has a hamburger, a mini fry, and apple dippers. No supersizing here.

He is in jail for money laundering with the hamburgerler.

You're right about poverty and obesity don't necessarily need to go together; however, your logic may be flawed. Have you ever been to a food pantry? Companies, people, etc give away all the CRAP. There is very few fruits and veggies and lean proteins. Everything is in a can and is accompanied by cheap snacks, white bread,…

Same here. My parents had four kids. My mom stayed at home. We only ate McDonald's when we were on a trip and it was RARE. We always ate at home and my mom prepped groceries and meals like it was the end of the world (canning, gardening, etc.). We ate a lot of meat and potatoes.... a lot. It wasn't necessarily healthy but…

I have plenty of episodes where fast food became my reality and my pants shrank! I realized it was the fast food. Stupid delicious fast food. Um, I mean... "Yum. I love all health food exclusively and fast food is gross." (said me, never.) I love both. Fast food is easy and well, fast. It is a selection after a long day…

Agreed! lol.

I LOVE my fitbit. I love data. I love stats. I like to have a measuring tool. It is very accurate. Downside: it is based on steps so it does not convert non step activities to steps like cycling, rowing, weight lifting, etc.

This is silly. I like it. It depends.

Check your macros, agreed, as everyone else has stated. I would only adjust your calories if you continue to lose weight while you try to maintain it. Another thought is that your body needs to adjust to the new caloric intake. This takes work on your part. Ghrelin is the hunger hormone and fluctuates based upon what you…
