  • Thanks for the feedback. I tend to eat a lot of whole foods during the week (lean, veggies, low processed) and then more "bad" food on the weekends. I definitely feel better when I eat less processed food. I will not eat back exercise cals until I get closer to my goal and I start to stall out. I will also shoot for 20% of…
  • Ah, how could I forget!!!!
  • I need a safe room where I cannot leave until tomorrow morning. I am going to try and negotiate with myself and maybe choose one or two full sized candy bars that I would really enjoy and eat them after a big, healthy meal and a giant glass of water. I really am feeling the pressure, though.
  • I started at 345lbs and am down to 275. I still have a lot to go! You can do it! When I began MyFitnessPal, I was at 297 and yo-yo'ing all over the place with my weight. MyFitnessPal has really helped to keep me moving in the right direction. Take it slow and remember it is a lifestyle change, not a diet! Set long term…
  • This has been happening for as long as I can remember. Since I have started using MFP, it stopped until I lost about 20 lbs. I went from 300 to 275 and every time I get 275, I seem to binge eat and I am just bouncing back and forth between 275 and 280. The days I binge seem somewhat random, usually I go a couple days then…
  • Thanks for the replies, I got discouraged and took it out on the forums. It is hard when I am struggling with my own brain and then feeling like I have no support. I am so tired of fighting with my weight, so damn tired.
  • You can lose weight without exercise. Eating whole foods and watching your glycemic index can be helpful. Exercise offers a lot toward how efficient your body becomes in metabolizing food. Exercise helps maintain muscle tone, strength training can help minimize muscle loss during weight loss. The more muscle you keep, the…
  • For losing weight? It kinda matters, but ultimately you can eat whatever and still lose. Whole food are processed by the body differently than refined, plus simple sugars affect your blood glucose in ways that influence weight loss. Yet as you adjust your intake to your body's needs, the affects of less healthy foods are…
  • Thanks for the feedback. Right now I am averaging 1800-2000 calories a day and I am hoping that, because of my size, it is not too aggressive until I get down to a healthier weight . I just don't want to overdo it.
  • Ahh, thanks for the feedback. I have found that eating every couple of hours helps reduce the urge to binge eat. About starvation mode, I heard the body can start to slow down metabolism if a male starts eating less than 1600 kcals a day for too long (at least at my size). Is this true ?
  • Thanks for the feedback, I think I would be happy at 240 and would really like to keep as much muscle as I can. I will make an appointment with a nutritionist and try to get a more accurate measure of bf%. It really brought me down after listening to that doctor and it is nice to have some positive feedback! Thanks again!
  • Ya, this is a current picture. I work agriculture, so I am pretty active, but I carry some belly fat that will not go away. I used the TDEE with heavy exercise (7 days a week, one hour a day, strength 3 days and light cardio 4 days). When I am not harvesting, I am in school so I am less active during the day than normal.…
