@Janet - Everywhere is short vets. For years the AVMA tried to tell us there wasn't a shortage of vets, we just needed to work more efficiently. Now places like Florida are considering Telemedicine so the AVMA is saying, yes there is a shortage but it will be self correcting as new vets graduate. In other words, "You need…

Adding 15 miles for 109 out of 100. I know I'll get more before the end of the month but I think that's as far as I'm going to raise my goal.

No ride today. Tendon feels swollen so it’s a rest day. I’ve visited Leavenworth lots of times. I grew up north of Seattle in woodinville. I was in the military before I realized there was more than one Leavenworth. 😂 love Leavenworth Washington. Leavenworth Kansas not so much. 😉😵💫

@Grandmajackie - New Braunfels! Home of the German festival and Schliterbaun! Most excellent! Some of the best German food I've had was there. So beautiful this time of year with the Blue Bonnets. Just down the road from the hill country with some of the only clear rivers in Texas. Except for August, I think you're going…

@GrandmaJackie - sorry about the relationship but sometimes walking away ( or running ) is the best thing you can do. Feel free to vent if you need to. That said, where in Texas? I’ve lived in a few places in Texas. San Antonio was my favorite.

@Dave - Yes! It really does. Switched to flat pedals on the bike today and I was able to easily get to 50 watts for 30 minutes. I could have done more but I promised the PT I wouldn’t do more than 50 watts so that’s where I held it.

@Anaconda - I can really relate to the jumping through insurance hoops. Hang in there Sue. It will be worth it in the end.

Adding 2.5 miles for 3 miles out of 50. Much better results on today's rehab ride. 18 minutes.

Spent an hour and a half in surgery last night (I was the surgeon). Standing on this foot for that long has left my heal kind of painful. Frustrating. Guess it will be next week before I try the bike again. I start PT next week as well. I was really hoping when I got permission to put weight on it that recovery would be…

@Clepant - That's really nice of you to do that. It's especially hard when the spouse seems so wishy washy on doing what they said. I'm glad that at least it was fun and it really helps motivate your neighbor to get out and walk.

Rehab begins! Disappointed that I could only do 20 Watts for five minutes but that's better than no Watts for 0 minutes. That puts me on the board with 0.5 miles out of 50.

@janet. I hate when my day gets highjacked. I know tomorrow is another day but it’s still frustrating. Hopefully what happened today isn’t real bad and tomorrow will go as planned.
-
@Clepant - That is really nice of you. Hopefully she is picking up the poop as well.

29.5 hours of non weight bearing to go! 😁. If they extend the time they will need to put me on suicide watch. 😵💫

Starting to lift weights and do yoga in preparation of getting back on the bike. I'm thinking positive. The doctor is going to say I can start riding on a trainer starting Wednesday.
