Having a good sports bra fixed this for me! The difference between my 20.00 walmart bra and my 80.00 under armor bra is unreal!

Thank you everyone! I'm trying to see this as a "good thing" for my mind and my body, and make this a real experience of getting better and stronger during this rest. Do you guys think that 1400cals is a decent amount for someone in my position? 5'3, 123.. normally extremely active, but suddenly sedentary?

This was very reassuring, makes me think I should weigh more often to get a better understanding of where I'm at. Thank you for all of the suggestions, keep em coming :)

Haha.. I guess sometimes you just need to hear it from someone else to put it into perspective.. 1 pound in a month really isn't so much I suppose! It's difficult to not obsess! I worked so hard to land where I am, my fear of failure is causing me failure!

YUM!! That sounds delicious! As for the sodium , I'm not too concerned. I have extremely low salt levels to begin with so if anything it would help!

Whenever I can get my hands on it!! Usually 1-3 tablespoons per day, in the morning on toast, before the gym either by itself or on a cracker and usually before bed on a rice cake. Always gotta leave room for PB!!

I too was always trying to understand how to keep myself motivated. What worked for me? I stopped looking for motivation. I've built a workout and eating routine into my lifestyle that is as habitual as brushing my teeth or having a shower. Would I run out the door without brushing my teeth? Ew No, but it's happened. Would…

This happens to me often, usually Sunday nights when my brain is thinking about what needs to get done at work. yesterday was a holiday for us so I went through this last night, only got 2 hours of sleep. I find the best way to manage it is to let my body return back to it's cycle as naturally as possible, basically don't…

Armor bra by underarmor. When I first started running I wore 2 bras as well (I was a 36dd at the time) my back started hurting so bad I thought I was going to have to quit running. Armor bra keeps things under control and my back was instantly better!! I've since bought two more as ive gone down to a 34dd. Totally worth…

I think I have an [irrational] fear of rapidly gaining if I slow down the cardio. While I do enjoy the cardio (I mean it!) I’ve found over the last week that I have a lot more fun lifting and doing resistance training. Even this morning I regretted doing my 20 min cardio warm up because I had to cut my back workout short!…

Thanks!!

What's your daily calories? Have you maintained?

The only part of this that is new is the AM strength training, before the AM strength training it was just more cardio (usually an hour). So really not a huge difference, but agree I need to scale back.. just trying to strike the right balance.

This is what has been working for me. Granted, I've only been back in training for a race (Half Marathon) for 2 weeks. So, this is what has worked for me for two weeks. I just started getting into lifting, so I don’t want to stop or slow down at this time. I do two workouts per day on weekdays. Sunday – Long Run (11K)…

Definitely worth visiting your doctor. I experience those symptoms (not hair loss) when my iron levels are low.. a few years ago they were so low I needed a blood transfusion. When I stop taking my iron supplements for a week or two, those symptoms all come flying back, couple this with your body being in a caloric deficit…

My typical net at the end of the day is anywhere from 400-700 depending. I only net around 1000 if I've really gone off my rocker LOL!
-
meaning there is a difference between eating less than 1200 and netting less than 1200? Sorry, I'm a bit of a newbie

Fair enough! I actually agree with you that I'm at a fairly decent weight for my height, I seem to be still carrying some extra fat in my midsection and thighs that I would like to see gone. I squat, dead lift etc.. on a regular basis.. midsection work I do maybe once per week(not my favorite).. saying that, I understand…
