What's your height / weight?
-
Oh for sure, I only got excited because I've been told in the past by Drs that my sodium/potassium levels are a bit low.. so it was a lightbulb moment! lol
-
Oh potassium! Never thought of that *eats 50 bananas*

I’m no expert, but I have successfully been binge free for quite awhile now. This^ is something that I used to tell myself to BS my way into justifying a binge. I mean really, today, in a normal state of mind (as in, not in a binging mood) do you really think that that is the appropriate action to take to “boost your…

Thanks. Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions. Lost both my parents at 15.. I wish someone was there to be appalled.

ive been thinking this too.. maybe even just using it at time to get myself together, organize my thoughts and figure out what i really want.

Thanks all.. Can't say the house is playing a huge part in the deciding factor as I can afford it on my own. I just am wishing I didn't take the step with him. With or without him, I would have bought a house anyway. Thank you for all of the advice, and I think I have a lot to think about. I came here for advice, not the…

My triceps don't ever get sore.. ever! I do the rope pulldowns that you describe, bar push downs, skull crushers, kickbacks and extensions (not all in in workout) and simply don't get sore! That doesn't mean it isn't working though, I'm seeing TONS of definition in my arms lately and have definitely put on some muscle.…

Typical weekday my breakfast is around 500cal ETA: My intake is 1700 average

When I first started working out.. my evenings were too busy for me to be able to form any sort of routine.. I knew that I had to work out in the AM if I was going to do this right. So, for 2 weeks I set my alarm for 4:45 with full plans to get to the gym for 5:00AM. For 2 WEEKS every night before bed, I set my alarm, told…

No supplements will do what good old fashioned rest will. I fell into this trap also, I worked out every day non stop for MONTHS we're talking 1-3 hours of cardio per day, and I wasn't eating nearly enough. Now I workout 6 days per week with one dedicated day of rest and then every 2 months I take 4 days off to recharge.…

I'm up at 4:35 every morning and at the gym by 4:55.. I do all of my workouts (lifting and cardio) fasted.. I'd love to be able to eat before though, because on my days off work when I workout and have more time before to eat, I find that I perform much, much better. I've tried taking my BCAAs pre-workout and don't find…

I went through the same thing a few weeks ago when I dislocated my rib. I was terrified that I was going to lose my strength, motivation and willpower… I workout 6-7 days per week and am extremely active, I didn’t know what to do with myself. Someone on these forums encouraged promoting a healthy lifestyle in ways other…

Listen to your body, learn to distinguish the difference between “sore” and “pain”. Sore, being that achy, I-didn’t-know-I-had-a-muscle-there feeling.. I personally try to work through that feeling. Not necessarily at the same high intensity, but something to get me moving and get my blood moving to help with recovery.…

Totally a combination! Last week I ate within my limit from Monday to Saturday.. didn’t go over once! Then on Sunday night after an 18KM run, I treated myself to some Chinese Buffet! Two plates of food and some dessert went down the hatch! The next morning I was up 6 pounds! Over the course of the next few days my weight…

At my largest i iwas a 34DD I wore under armor bras. I had one racer back style and one that zipped in the front and they both worked wonderfully. Like the previous poster I wore a few sizes smaller in these bras than my normal bras so you should have no problems trying a size. Highly recommended!

1. Stopped drinking an XL Tim Hortons Double Double with a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast (every single day!) 2. Stopped eating after 7:30PM. It doesn’t matter what time you eat at, as long as you come in under your maitainence,. However! I had a bad habit of finishing dinner and standing in the pantry munching on a…

LOL! OOPS! What's 50/50 Peanut Butter?

Talk to you doctor about how to control your Asthma, instead of designing your exercise to accommodate asthma. I suffer from severe asthma, and recently ran 15KM at a 6.8mph pace without once feeling like my asthma was acting up or I needed an inhaler. I take a preventative inhaler once per day, and an emergency inhaler…

This is awesome! Good for you! I love me some PB too much to even consider saying goodbye! Once I tried to give up PB, so I bought some Peanut Butter flavored Puffins cereal to try and fill the gap. I would open the pantry and grab a handful every once in awhile.. I bought the cereal on a Friday evening and then by…

This topic is very to each their own.. But this is what works for me: •Every Sunday I make my lunch protein for the week, ground turkey, chicken etc.. I usually make the same thing for all 5 days •every Sunday I also portion a weeks worth of raw veggies for snacking, a fruit for the week (I portion grapes or strawberries…

Thanks all! My mind is now at ease as I lay on my back and count my ceiling tiles!!

Yup, what they said! Make sure you eat enough during the week so that you don't explode! 3 hours of mma 6 days per week is a lot. Make ssure you dont need to divide those 8000 calories throughout the week to fuel your body and workouts. Either way.. With that sort of exersice, its a drop in the bucket. Forget and move on,…

I thought so. After reading my post when I posted it I realized that I may be over thinking it. No one didn't get to run their race because they missed their 6th of 13 scheduled long runs. Turns out the sky isn't falling.

This is so me!! I used to feel like a BEAST walking out of body pump. Always lifting the most, More than the instructors and never taking breaks etc.. I actually was asked to become an instructor because I was such a die hard! It started to annoy me when they would say thing like "full range, low weight and high reps gives…

I must say, my intent in posting this was to tell others they weren't alone, not realizing that I didn't know that myself!! Im inspired to hear the stories of others, you are all so amazing!

Wow that is a great article! Defines us in many other aspects of lofe also!

I'm 5'2, certainly healthy. No doubt about it! And you're right, I can eat anything, but my problem was that was eating everything. Too much of it, and I was constantly allowing myself to go over, and start over another day. The whole point here, and I certainly can't expect everyone to read this novel LOL is that I've now…

Thank you all for the kind words. I must say, I let this sit un-posted for a few hours before following through. It's amazing to be surrounded by a community of such great people! If I can stop someone from heading down this path, then my goal has been achieved. We always tell ourselves "everything in moderation"... I now…

The last 10 days have been great, I've been staying within my calories, and not obsessing.. it's been hard.. to really tell myself to not worry. One day at a time :)
