I work with people who are 55 years or older who are blind or have low vision to teach them skills to live independently. I am also a week away from being a certified orientation and mobility specialist who teaches people who are blind or have low vision how to travel safely and independently.

Clothes! I am like you. I do great for about 3-4 days then have 2-3 not so great days. I've learned weeekends are harder for me because I don't usually exercise but still eat the same amount of calories. Maybe we can motivate each other?!

Don't get down on yourself for enjoying one meal. You are doing a great job of not going overboard at every meal and that's what matters. Please remember that this is a long journey and you have to enjoy or you won't stick with it.

I have Just Dance 2 and 3 and also Zumba II. I bought a Jillian game but have yet to play it. I also used Active and it kicked my butt! I haven't used it in awhile, think I might dust it off tonight!

Look up calories before you eat! Try eating the salad or veggies and stay way from things you know are bad (dessert, pastas, etc.) But remember, you will survive! : )

I'm curious also. I have a pair of Underarmor that I wear now on my treadmill and they are comfy. I also just bought a pair of FILA's last night.

I do good at work by thinking of going for a walk to the kitchen is a reward for drinking all of my water. (Gives me an excuse to get up from my desk and walk around.) I also learned that a refillable water bottle with a straw works best for me than having a pour spout. I also use a 20 ounce bottle instead of a bigger one…

I agree with the "be an example" my mom is seeing my progress and is showing interest but I only talk about it if she asks or brings it up.
