At least for LISS you can add it exactly as what you are doing and FP calculates, for example cycling for 30 mins or jogging, etc.

Ive been wondering the same and have tried it a few times and I find I get more energy working out fasted, but not sure about the fat burning properties. Has anyone seen the big website muscleforlife? He talks about it in depth there and thats where I learned about it

Have you tried http://www.pickmemealplan.com yet? Its a healthy monthly meal planner, mostly plant based so at least your family is eating healthy and low cal by default, also under ten bucks per month.
