4 days per week and limit your workouts to 60 minutes per workout. 60-90 seconds between sets. Rest days are just as important as lifting days.

Just turned 44 a few weeks ago and feel like in 24. : ) At 41 and already on high blood cholesterol meds my doctor told me that I would soon be Type II Diabetic if I didnt start losing weight and eating healthy. 13 months later I had lost 83 lbs and havent looked back since. : )

Like I said I gained plenty of fat but cut to get rid of it, and I would never do Steriods, you would have to be brain dead to do that.

I can usually gain 2.5 lbs of muscle per month during a bulk. Im 43, someone younger might be able to gain more per month. I also agree with sidesteel that a 30% loss in lean muscle during a cut is very high. ( atleast in my experience) Great topic OP.
