You have to keep trying and trying and trying until one day it just 'clicks' and it becomes easier - Easier isn't easy - trust me - I have pounds and pounds to go - but until just recently I didn't think it's possible - Today - I think it is - something just clicked - I finally called myself on all the bullsh** I've been…

Ok - I'm going to try this, too :) I just signed up for a walking challenge - so surely that counts towards my goal, too :) Smiles, Nic

Okay - I am going to try to see what I get - my goal is to work my way into maybe running some, but I'm not there yet :)

I started out with a box - sit down on the box, get up - that's a squat - a box squat! I've worked my way up to doing 85 squats with a trainer just last week in one session! NEVER thought I could do that - have a lot of ways to go, but I'm working on it!

I'm a chubby girl and I eat 150 gms a day!

Really - when you are in the right mindset - you'll figure out how to either A) Avoid those things that trigger bad habits for you (Like eating fast foods or B) Figure out how to eat these things and still create a healthier lifestyle for yourself - This feed is full of great ideas - and a few sarcastic funnies to keep…

I have said those same things over and over - This time around - I'm stlcking with strength training (A lot of body weight exercises), and hardly any cardio. It's working for me - I lost 9.4 pounds my first month - just a suggestion - I haven't ever had the success I'm having right now - I'm eating perfect, which helps,…

Oh how I wish I was from Paris, France....

I think the aura of what you're saying is awesome - I started with giving it a month - this new lifestyle of mine - and one month rewarded me well - so now I've committed to month two - and my goal is to at the end of twelve months to be able to say I did this - Good inspiration :)

Just do it. Every damn day.

I'm quite a chatterer also, lol. Ask my Mfp friends. Lol

You just need to get the right people on your friends list. I've found that by adding people that post something I can relate to is the best way to find friends you'll end up "keeping" as opposed to the friends you meet on the introduce yourself page But sometimes you'll get lucky. Keep searching. You'll find the right…

Be careful - with that profile pic you may get the wrong kinda 'newds'

I was actually having almost the identical conversation in my head not long ago - It is really REALLY hard to make this work. I sat down and looked at my schedule and after having a 'there's no way I can do this' moment - and then I figured it out - I'm now going to the gym on my lunch hour instead of trying to figure it…

^^^^ That!! All joking aside, I am cherishing the friendships I've made on MFP - and actually count on them to keep me engaged! I just suggest finding those friends that are meeting what you expect out of the friendship, and not worry about the others! They'll find someone to fill that expectation they may have - possibly…

Presents???? People get presents??? Man I need some new friends.....LOL
-
This time around I'm limiting myself to smaller, short term goals - My first one was four weeks committed to eating healthy and following a specific plan - and I just acheived that one! Now, I have a new 28 day goal - and this go round I'm making small weekly goals - because meeting my goals is giving me some motivation to…

I'm always looking for fun accountability friends. I'm 45 :) Nicole

My meals are incredibly repetitive - While I'm not a picky eater, and I'm lucky enough to be able to get what I want and need at the store, I've found that giving myself too much 'freedom' with my menu leads to me overdoing it. I'm taking the 'fun' out of it - and just using food for what I think it's supposed to be for -…

While I know it was not the OP intent - this thread has completely made me laugh out loud today - both her witty posts - and all of the snarky comments intermingled with people's opinions and now lucky charms marshmallows and doritos in a pixie stick.... Welcome to MFP :) Nic

Seriously - funny! LOL

Loved your post - Love your attitude.... You have to figure out that you want to do it not BECAUSE of any of those 'reasons' you have - but in spite of them... It took me a long time to figure it out - and I'm still a work in progress....truthfully only on day 26 of living what I consider truly 'healthy' but I'm rocking my…

Absolutely right - I finally had to call myself on all my own bullsh**
