To be clear :) I think you can eat at a fast food restaurant and still be 'healthy' and make good choices - I simply chose to not do it for 30 days based on the present eating plan I'm following - it doesn't quite fit into that for me right now - I'm not bashing any 'healthy' fast food eaters! LOL

I'm on day 25 of this! And shockingly I've had a great weight loss month.....hmmmmm - wonder if that's related at all! You can do it - :) Nic

MFP has a search box? <snort> and I'm a newbie that says dumb **** that everyone already asked about and I think that's funny....

^^^^ yep - this! For me too :)

If I hadn't started on the TRX, I wouldn't have stuck with a strength program. It helped me get my back stronger, while helping do some things I couldn't do on my own. As I am getting stronger, and starting to lose weight, my trainer is upping my difficulty with it - and I see if being something I can use no matter what my…

^^^^^ This! I could type it again but she already said it :)

I think it's important to remember that you are human, too - being educated in the field of fitness doesn't make you immune to the pitfalls many people struggle with. You're owning them and putting that out there is a huge step - so good for you! As far as accountability - I'm that person that needs someone to call me on…

Incorporate some strength training - it will help :)

I've had both - and I like the flex better - SOLELY because it's waterproof. I wear it 24 hours a day - every day - I had issues remembering to put my one on - and would lose steps every day because of it - plus when I wasn't wearing a bra it was hard to find a place to put it that gave me an accurate reading -

There are still moments I feel like the 'fat girl at the gym' but honestly - I don't even think about it much anymore. I always try and find one person in there that's inspiring me - and think 'if they can do THAT - surely I can do THIS'. Sometimes it's a buff guy lifting tons of weight, sometimes its the little old man…

I have completely the same issue - and it's so hard. He says he is "eating healthy' but his parameters are much different than mine. I get the eating a salad at every meal, because it's so hard for me to stay in moderation when 'eating anything in small portions or moderation' - so for me, a salad when I eat out is my best…

Pretty excited as this gives me an excuse to buy yet ANOTHER pair of new fitness shoes - just thinking of trying to add some running into my 'rest' days for cardio - am a total newbie - so this was great help :)

Believe it or not, a little bit of the liquid crystal light flavoring in my water helps satisfy that for me! (Berry Sangria the best...)
-
Now i just need to decide which one :)
-
I've been on the fence about one - and reading this simple, yet educated analogy made me decide to do it - thanks for the info - for some 'seasoned' people, it may seem redundant or 'duh' but it was exactly what I needed to read! Thanks

I would disagree with this statement - I think it would be awesome if every marriage is an open book where people communicate at a level of adulthood always - yet, sadly - because we are all just human - it's rarely the case. I think venting like this in a fairly 'neutral' forum allows someone to maybe take the emotion out…

I think your journey is exactly that - whatever is working for you and yours, keep on keeping on. Along the way people may not have the same vision as you, but don't let it impact what you want and need out of life....
-
I think her point may have been following this journey with someone not as committed as me has been my downfall - and in effect, it kind of has - but my friend faultering on the journey really should have no impact on my journey - even though perhaps I've let it. I don't think there's any right or wrong answer here....
-
I agree - alhough I get that 'falling off the wagon' when someone else doesn't have the motivation... It's happened to me! But really - that's on me - I am working hard at finding the motivation in myself - and no matter who I'm on the journey with - still making it about my journey...

I'm chubby - but I find it hard to agree that I have nothing to add of worth to someone asking for advice. Just my opinion, of course...

My trainer at Anytime Fitness in Shelbyville is awesome - but not sure if that is too much of a haul for you :)
-
and I'm off to do my research - LOL

Now I'm pondering my numbers that are 'macros' - thanks a lot LOL
-
I'm pretty amazing on the inside - just want my outside to catch up :)
-
My trainer says less cardio more strength training - to lose weight! He says do cardio to make your heart happy, do strength training to make your butt look good! LOL

I'm on here every day - and can use any motivation and love to connect with people motivated and working towards the same goal as me any day - I have a long journey ahead, but I'm working my a** off and am going to get there! :)
-
I love mine - it's almost like a game for me - especially on those days I make it close to my daily goal - gets me creating ways to get some steps in - and any activity is better than sitting on my rump!
-
Thank you everyone for posting - at the end of the day, we are all striving for the same thing - a healthy future - no matter how far we have to go or the road we take to get there :)
-
Thanks everyone for chiming in - always good to bounce thoughts about this journey off completely neutral people - and while we all have different viewpoints - I got something from everyone's post! :)
