Congratulations Stephens! Hope you continue with some swimming though  I hit goal 2 years back, but have continued swimming which has greatly helped me to stay within a few kilos of my goal, despite having relaxed my calorie regime abit. Must be great to be off the diabetes meds and feeling so light on your feet…

Good stuff. How long do they usually last?

Welcome back to swimming, BooBear Welcome back gently. I've been out too - still out! That's my situation too. Been out fighting flu and all sorts. Hope I'll be able to get in a swim before the end of the week, but not sure. Welcome siltsu. We all love swimming here!!! No idea what's causing the cramping, Nuffer. Hope as…

Your body has also changed in 3 years depending on what you've done to or with it! You'll have to be more patient this time! This is a lifestyle and not a diet!

So yesterday was my first swim in a week, and my very first with the new Garmin  Having it on inspired me to keep going - the thought that it was tracking away, and I wanted to get some good stats for my first official garmin tracked swim  I'll post something on that under a different thread. 2.5 km 52:13

Still out with a flu but glad to see everyone swimming away! Best rest the shoulder and give time for the pain to subside. Look into the shoulder exercises that have been posted on here before, that help to prevent shoulder injury! Swimming can take a toll on the shoulders, and the preventative exercises are very important…

Someone is very excited! Pity I'm still down with the flu so will have to wait a few days to try it out! :-)

Think I'm battling some infection or something so I'm not quite myself. Yesterday, 2.5km 58 min Today, 1.25km 36 min

Wow! Great encouragement!!! I have a phobia for hypoxia training because whenever I go that route, I feel as if bad things happen, and I've read with age, it may not be a good idea! Then again, perhaps with proper coaching and someone realign watching the heart rates, etc, it may be more realistic for me. I personally…

LOL! Same here! Isn't it strange how that always happens  Early morning wake ups are an accomplishment! Good job! :star: With me I find the opposite. I'm faster in the 33 m pool then I am in the 25m, probably because fewer opportunities for mini rests as there are fewer lengths to swim. With a 50m pool though, I…

2.5km 51:05 Assuming I counted correctly that is a personal best which is fantastic but probably not too wise as I'm supposed to be tapering down for a fast 5 km this weekend. Eliminated most of the rests in today's swim which is probably where the time was gained!

3.3 km 74 min

Thanks Noel and that really was a solid long swim! Wow! Yay! Glad to see another join the music facilitated SPM/ BPM team :-)

14km run in the morning 14 kms ( in about 2 hours) 2.5 km swim (about two hours) in the evening to tray and ease my aching limbs. Lots of calories burned today

Emma sorry to hear that! We've lost 3 little ones, and I know the feeling! :disappointed:

Quick 1,125 m in 25 min before I had to rush off for a meeting. My back is giving me some grief, and I just had to swim as it usually help ease the pain/discomfort!

Good job Gently! The music definitely helps me going too, especially through the longer swims. And now with a 6 hour swim in my near future, I wouldn't do it without the music. I don't know if that's a good thing! Fantastically. I envy you. Would love to be part of a team! Welcome back Boing. Actually it's a half marathon…

Yesterday: 5km in 115 min Hope to get that time down when I swim the same distance on December 5th. Two years ago I was doing 2km in 130 min (or more) and feeling like I had just climbed Everest at the end of it! Now (in the words of Noel) it just felt like Wednesday  So the body is definitely a different beast then…
