Why would the makers of this site/app sabotage themselves in such a devastating way? Unbelievable!

Hi. The body doesn't always respond the same way the second time around. Our bodies are very ingenuous in the ways they seek to maintain equilibrium! One way that will probably be effective, if you are not doing so already is exercise. For example light exercise. Taking a daily walk say 15 min building up to over 30 min…

Eventually the Tayogo failed after charging it too long, and my Garmin Swim also finally gave up the ghost too. So currently rocking another cheap bone conduction waterproof player and a Garmin 920 xt

Hey everyone. Not checked in for awhile but still swimming! May was probably biggest swimming month ever with 60k cumulative swimming in May. Good to see everyone on here still swimming!

7 years apart. Stroke reconstruction ongoing. Have slowed the stroke rate way down and working on form then will gradually try to slooowly dial the stroke rate back up, bit by bit!
-
So it's 2022. I stopped swimming for quite a number of years and just got back into it last year. Gone back to the drawing board. Slowed everything down again (in the stroke rate department) and concentrating on correct form and stroke length as I rebuild my stamina! Then I'll start tweaking up the stroke rate bit by bit.…

Still swimming. Trying to do 13 to 16km a week with a 2022 goal of 700km. Found my dongle so managed to sync my Garmin to my computer today for the first time in years lol. This was yesterday's swim!

During the weight loss part of my keto journey I always felt abit warmer than usual. I put it down to my body burning up the fat for fuel :-)
-
Wow. That is phenomenal progress. Congratulations. You've done amazing

Indeed it is. It's been almost one year now and my blood sugar levels are absolutely normal with no medication whatsoever. I credit it largely to a keto lifestyle (which I am still on) together with swimming! Im so happy I could beat it completely without medication!!!
-
Still swimming. Now at between 10-14 km weekly in 3 to 5 swims! So building up the stamina while still keto/ low carb!
-
That is weird! What's the reasoning behind that?
-
Huh? As in they changed how they mark the distances or what?

The body is a strange creature. Dont sweat it. The minute by minute checks may be confusing. Trust the system and stick to it. The rest will follow!

Greetings. Just an encouragement. Six or seven months back I tested my blood sugar levels and they were at 22 mmol (396 mg/dl). That was a shock and rude wake up call. I decided that I was going to attack it with everything I had. I started strict keto for the first time ever, combined with exercise 5 days a week. Six or…

So when you say dirty keto, what was the dirty aspect? What non keto stuff were you eating? Could that have been preventing from consistently staying in keto hence the heightened cholesterol?

Pools reopened today. First swim in about 6 weeks. So did 1.6km for today. Good to back at it. Glad have retained the weightloss on keto and even lost abit more as well despitr not swimming and holding steady at about 20 kilos (44 pounds) lost since October. Blood sugar normal levels and seems I have reversed diabetes with…

Also remember as this is a keto group, getting into and staying in a ketogenic state is the high priority if you intend to lose via keto! If you are ketogenic you may need to up your fat intake to provide energy for exercise, as starving your body of carbs AND fats will mean you'll lack energy for exercise!
-
Keto. I cut the carbs out of my diet. And exercise too. But cutting the carbs was definitely the game changer!
-
Fasting can help keep you in ketosis but its best not done when in gym (where additional energy is required, if not from carbs then from fat), hence her fasting on non gym days probably!
-
Wow. Great job CommandPanda

Sounds like you are able to eat meats, so go nuts on them. In my own case, I try to keep things simple and basically cut my carbs to as close to zero as possible so generally between 20-40g. I literally dont track anything else, but essentially I eat lots of protein and fat. So all meats (and not the lean meats most…
